Jin Mu, Park Jin, Danggu, and Seo Yul are the only ones that know what Naksu looks like right? I’m guessing Lady Jin think this is her daughter’s body but that would be stupid since Buyeon has certain marks on her body.
or…was she thinking that because Naksu soul shift wuth Buyeon, that Buyeon is inside Naksu’s body? but why retrieve Naksu from the lake? this part is very confusing to me esp she claims that the body is Buyeon. Did she somehow knew the Buyeon and Naksu where inside her daughter’s body, so when she retrieve the body, she think Naksu’s soul died and only Buyeon’s soul is alive? Did she took Naksu’s body so people won’t recognize her?
One thing is for sure, it’s Naksu’s soul and body. Lady Jin is confusing herself, Buyeon might have died during the time she killed Mudeok to demonstrate the ice stone which is what cause the ice stone going mad and concealing people inside jjeonjingak. I mean Naksu run wild, if Buyeon was still alive, she wouldn’t have run wild, Buyeon had protected her body when Master Lee was about to kill her, if she was still alive, Jin Mu wouldn’t be able to easily control her.
this has got to be one of the most satisfying drama from beginning to end, pacing was amazing, usually I like to avoid sageuk (period/historical) drama because the pacing was so darn slow, but this was suprisingly the most well-balanced pacing and genre you can get from sageuk, also this drama was release without so much promotion or hyped, no swoon content (from netflix side) barely any promotional teaser or trailer from tvn, casting and story were not hype by media as well, if it came and managed to capture both local and international viewers, that just shows how good the story is.
viewers of this drama confused me more than this drama, like how do you confused the fact that Naksu is the MAIN CHARACTER of the show? and that it’s her that Jang Uk fell in love with? Buyeon is an interesting character but she was barely a character! remember she was just a vessel for Naksu’s soul!
the whole discourse about JSM still did not stop? an article was release that JSM only agreed to do first season, most probably bec she has line up of projects OR the script only requires for her to be in first season therefore when they suddenly needed her help she agreed knowing full well it’s for one season, like come on the director and JSM has close relationship, yall making it seem like they are suddenly replacing her!

the biggest mess of this series was the messy loveline, this would have worked better without Yul & CP falling for Naksu, or Yun Ok falling for Uk to me it didn’t add anything vital to the story.

Jang Gang denying Jang Uk as his son was to save him but did nothing to clean Do Hwa’s name. I’m so pissed, and for sure she will only get her name cleared when everyone reveals the scroll from the late King. Everyone will know Do Hwa is a victim but they will also know about Jang Uk’s birth right.
Here are just some of my prediction with season 2: Jang Uk be either the next Naksu (shadow assasin) or be recognized as King Star, him being ressurected from dead means one thing, he has the ice stone therefore he is the one that is born with King’s Star, I’ll just face palm with these characters if they cannot connect the dots.
Jang Uk will be looking for answers as to what happen to Naksu that night and what triggers her running wild since Master Lee did say the host of the body is blocking her powers therefore she won’t be running wild as long she don’t try to break out and use her powers.
Choyeon will be looking for Naksu for revenge, along side, she might bare hatered towards Danggu for not killing Mudeok when he had a chance, the wedding aurely did not take place, Danggu will bear guilt over not being able to kill Mudeok therefore Jin U-Tak dying. Danggu taking his place as leader of Songrim while Choyeon will take her place as leader of Jinyowon.
Jin Buyeon’s body will eventually pertified, Naksu will return to her old body somehow and maybe Jin Buyeon’s soul will reside inside her as well since her body did pertified (pertified =\= burnt). Mama Jin will be seeing revenge towards Naksu for using and killing her daughter’s body, so both Jin women will be after Naksu’s head.
If Uk will be training under Master Lee, he will eventually reach Hwansu level.
JinMu is the next Gwanju (was able to manipulate everybody in making Naksu the accomplice of Shaman Choi though they saw her obviously speaking to him asking if why he isn’t doing anything).

IRL people be getting plastic surgeries, liposuctions, etc also this is a fantasy drama, and the show isn’t even done yet, what needs to be address will be addressed but as audience we need to accept the change, the fact that we know Naksu is in borrowed body, we should have already prepared ourselves. JSM is not in season 2, and she willingly did accept the role despite that fact.

I was honestly surprise when Hong Sister’s comeback drama casted a rookie female lead, now looking back the script meant to be this way, Naksu will comeback to her body and will lead second half of story, this will work without offending a veteran actress and it’s much bigger fans, but obviously the plan backfired when they had to let go of the rookie. They have to opted out with getting an actress that can do the job and would understand how the character would end. They took a risk knowing how her fans would react.
It’s hard for us as audience to detach these actor from their characters, but you can only be indenial for too long, acceptance will come.

Though this did not mean JSM did not like the story or so it’s just meant she was told she was only to do S1. JSM has line up of projects, she was filming AOS along with her movie, I’m sure she already with other projects as well as another movie of her was announced. JSM agreed because she was only meant to be till end of season 1, let’s just be thankful she took the role and let her go peacefully if she really was meant to only last till season 1.
