I preferred TBL. For MM, I didn't feel the chemistry between the leads (they were more like partners), the plot was very predictable and I couldn't stand all the unnecessary supporting cast deaths. While in TBL, the chemistry was strong between the main leads, there were some plot twists that I did not predict, and I wasn't annoyed by numerous, gratuitous deaths.

I watched both simultaneously lol. I enjoyed The Blossoming Love much more.

I recommend watching The Blossoming Love instead, it'll help a lot with MM hangover

I'm in the middle of watching right now. It's awesome so far!! I was shocked to see the rating so low -- pretty sure it's from haters.

Finished the drama. Overall was good, the only thing I really dislike is all the continuous sacrificial deaths of all supporting cast. It felt unnecessary and just to evoke tearjerking moments. Honestly felt like a repeat of A Journey to Love because of that, sigh...

I recommend watching The Blossoming Love, it has a similar concept except they're actually the main leads in that drama.

Oh thank goodness! I was worried since some comments made it sound like it was a SE! Plus, with all the deaths of supporting cast along the way...so I'm glad it's a HE!

Agreed! It's why I loved The Legend of ShenLi too, bc they had one whole episode dedicated to the CP's happy ending.

Yes exactly, that's why The Blossoming Love is original and not average. That was my point. In The Blossoming Love, FL falls first and chases hard after ML. Even better that they are on opposing sides.

Oh really? In that case, name a drama where the FL is on the dark side, ML is on the good side, and the FL falls first for the ML and chases him hard. I think this is a original concept I have not seen before (for main leads only). Please prove me wrong then.

Hahaha agreed, all the villains are hot! I love that they're not one-dimensional so you get to explore their past and understand their motives.
