Thank you for your insight. I was potentially going to watch it since I'm enjoying her role in The Double (my first drama of hers), and I know this Yanxi drama is her top rated one. However, based on what you said, I've concluded it's not my type of drama. I need romance to be a strong focal point, plus it must be a happy ending. I'm thankful you wrote this so that I won't spend 70 episodes and be upset with the ending.

I rarely watch sad endings either, but this drama is so good that the sad ending is worth it and makes sense to me. I also don't think it's that sad -- to me, the ending is understandable given the situation, plus what matters the most to me is that the two leads forgave each other, loved each other and stayed together. That to me is a good ending.

Haha I think she would've potentially done that if she was only being herself, but she can't bc she has to divide her focus between the two revenge roles she's playing. Otherwise I'm sure she would be haunting him constantly and making him go crazy with nightmares of her lol.

You should try Hidden Love even if you don't like Lusi. The story itself is amazing and memorable, and the acting by all cast members are perfection. Don't skip out just bc of not liking one cast member.
