Before concluding on his acting, I do recommend watching him in other dramas to see how he plays other characters with very different personalities. You will be able to see that if you watch Story of Kunning Palace and My Journey to You. These are two dramas where he convincingly played characters with opposite personalities (dark, vengeful anti-hero in SOKP and pure, determined hero in MJTY). Another great drama where he was first noticed worldwide (due to the drama's global popularity) is Love Between Fairy and Devil, where he played the SML role.

I think this drama is a great example in showing how pride/ego and lack of communication could destroy love.

I'm not referring to the rating. I think I'm most shocked that you think she is a narcissist. I didn't get that vibe from her at all. She cared a lot about the people around her, she even protected them intensely.

The Double is only good if you like revenge dramas with minimal romance. While they did a great job with the revenge part, I did think it took too long to resolve the Jiang family revenge arc, and there wasn't enough time for anything else to really develop. The ending is disappointing too, so if you already don't like the first half, you likely won't enjoy the second half. I do agree the overall rating of this drama is too high too... for me, it def doesn't beat SOKP or LOSL.

For me, The Double was a strong 10 until the last few episodes. Then it went down to a 9 for me. As for The Princess Royal, while I agree it's not as intense and addictive as The Double, the story becomes more interesting as the episodes continue on. We'll see if The Princess Royal finishes strong or if it'll also lose quality at the end just like The Double...
