She needed an ice cold bath or drink to slow the bugs?
Ohh π€£ I thought it had more meaning behind it since this scene made it into the official MV for an OST haha. Like maybe it was representing her choosing to reject his affection by letting go of his gift.
In Ep 11, when YWS dropped the block of Thousand Year Ice (gifted by GZY) into the bowl of water, it seemed to allude to an important meaning/emotion/decision, but I was not clear on what it was. Does anyone know what was the meaning behind this action taken by YWS?
I think both the character and the actress herself depend on how the story was written. If the story calls for…
IMO, the FL character is the opposite of pure with no evil thoughts or intentions. She is intentionally antagonistic toward many people that she meets. She's further spoiled by the ML who encourages her bratty, rude behavior and lets her run wild / lawless instead of teaching her discipline and responsibility.
The storyline, production, supporting cast and ML are all great. The only thing holding this drama back is the FL (both the character and the actress herself). I keep hoping that the actress will improve on her acting with each new drama, but I still feel like her facial expressions and reactions are not believable at all. This, combined with the FL character's pouty, childish, antagonistic behavior, and I just cannot root for her. Nevertheless, I'll continue watching bc the rest of the cast is awesome and convincing, and I'm curious to see how the villain arcs will play out.
I just saw a melon on Twitter that this drama might star Zhao Lusi with Xiao Zhan. π§π€ Lol I would love to see them pair up again, but I'm not sure if this is the right drama for their reunion. I was imagining something more epic, romantic and fantastical for their CP hehe. ππ
Just finished watching this show in 24 hrs. Highly recommend this show to everyone! Lots of hilarious moments, yummy eye candy, romantic love, sisterhood, fun plot twists and most importantly, a smart, brave FL who I highly admire. What a hidden baobei that I'm happy to have discovered. Enjoy watching!! I'm still over here laughing. π€£π€£ππβ₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ
Omgggg Ep 7 where she eats mushrooms, starts hallucinating and tries to kiss the ML...I was laughing so hard π€£π€£π€£ Even more hilarious is how much she pouts bc the ML won't let her kiss him LMAO
It's been almost 2 years, I keep coming back to whether I should watch this or not. But I am hesitating because…
I highly recommend watching it!! It's been seven years since the drama was released, and I still have not moved on from this story. That's how powerfully moving this drama is for many of us fans. Even today, this drama remains one of my top 5 all-time favs.
Actually there are a decent amount of cdramas that do have smart FLs. You just have to search specifically for…
Ok well I'm glad you already know that then. I think it's up to each viewer to pick and choose the type of storyline and type of FL character that they want to watch. Some ppl do like the naive/innocent/cute FLs and that's why this trope remains popular (and will always be). For those who don't like it, they can watch the ones that do have the smart/strong FLs. In general, I do think cdramas are now moving towards having a larger portion of storyline with smart/strong FLs.
Why do they make FL look stupid in every c drama. At this point it has become their stereotype or something...π
Actually there are a decent amount of cdramas that do have smart FLs. You just have to search specifically for them. To your point, majority of both cdramas and kdramas still have the naive/stupid/weak FLs. I'm usually ok with that as long as she has character development through her hardships/adventures. One cdrama example of a smart FL this year is Who Rules The World. The FL is equally smart and capable as the ML in this cdrama. Have you seen it?
Heβs in the first episode.. the first one lusi slapped with her sleeve. π€£
OMGGGGG no wonder I didn't notice him at all during my first watch LOL, other than remembering that how dare some guy insult my Zhao Lusi during Ep 1 π€. I just went back and rewatched that scene three times haha. Weeeelll, at least he can say he's had the standout privilege of being slapped by our lovely Zhao Lusi! π€·ββοΈππ Thank you so much for letting me know! β₯οΈ I'm so amused now π€£π€£π€£
Does anyone know what episode(s) Dai Gao Zheng appears in WRTW? I loved him in Maid's Revenge and just found out that he was actually in this drama too.
