Your comment isn't surprising to me. I've only seen her before in A Dream Within A Dream. Based on that drama, I had a feeling that she is only good at romantic comedies, not serious or mature roles that need strong emotional acting. I haven't started watching Sword and Beloved yet bc I was waiting for Chang Huasen to make his first appearance before starting. But yeah my expectations for LYT is low lol, unless someone can convince she is an excellent actress in some other drama.

Did you finish the whole drama yet? My fav episodes are actually Eps 14-16 (outside of Eps 1-3 and 8).

Try it out!! It's actually my #1 fav cdrama. I've now placed Love In The Clouds as my #2. Story of Kunning Palace and Till The End of The Moon had to move down a spot to #3 and #4 lol.

Haha yeah same. I only know standard Chinese so I thought my settings had somehow switched to Cantonese or another language. I had to listen really closely to understand Su Zhe. 20 episodes in and I'm used to it already hehe.

Yes, that is so true!! Those words Zhao Lusi's character said in Love's Ambition do apply here, and it contributed to both characters' motivations and emotions. I didn't read or watch the original story for Blood River, so I am def curious about Su Changhe's background (kinda wish the audience found out about his background before he destroyed the notes from that tower lol).

I fell in love with Chang Huasen in A Journey to Love. I really hope he gets the main lead roles more frequently from now on!
