Hard carried? Stop being delusional. You hardcore rowoon fans can be really delusional. His wooden acting is one…
Take a step back and read your comment. Does your comment sound like a logical, calm and collected rebuttal to you? I welcome healthy and rational debates but yours is far from it so I can't take you seriously. In what way does your comment sound like a level-headed objection to my opinion? All I could see is you being overemotional over a statement and counter it with excessive anger. Even now, you just sound so angry for absolutely no reason at all. My question is why do you feel so offended for? How does me saying that he hard carried the show in any way affect you? How?
Let me give you tips on how to present a proper and sensible argument which you can use in the future. First, you don't immediately verbally attack someone for having an opinion. "Stop being delusional. You hardcore rowoon fans can be really delusional". This is an example of verbal aggression. It is unnecessary and immature. No one can take you seriously when that's the first thing that comes out of your mouth. Maybe next time start with a "I disagree. I don't think he hard carried the show at all. In fact, I don't think he's that great." There! I've helped you out.
I think you need to go outside and touch some grass. There are far more important things in life than to have beef with someone you don't know, especially a one-sided one and especially for something so stupid and meaningless as this.
Hard carried? Stop being delusional. You hardcore rowoon fans can be really delusional. His wooden acting is one…
Dang girl. Why are you getting your panties in a bunch? Relax. Opinions are subjective. You can say he's wooden blah blah. Doesn't change the fact that your opinion is just as subjective as mine. It wouldn't change a thing. I say that he hard carried and that's MY OPINION. You can go cry about it. I don't get people like you who seem to always want to attack others for absolutely no reason. It's not like I'm trash talking your fav (like what you just did. Immaturity at its finest, I say). What are you so upset about? What a troll
Since some people are comparing, somehow...I actually find this first episode way more enjoyable than Destined With You's first ep. & I'm enjoying Rowoon's performance here as well. DWY was funny but I only got the humor from ep 4 onwards. Some of the humor from DWY can be a miss for me but that's probably largely due to the underwhelming editing but Rowoon made it work (this man hardcarried that show on his back fr). But here, I find it hilarious from the start. Also because I'm more into sageuks than modern fantasy rom coms. So that might be the reason.
Love that there are no second leads. There will be no unnecessary love triangles here š The other sub characters will have their own love line/story (thanks to our two matchmaker leads) which is great.
He is such a good actor, he needs some versatility to his appearance in his roles too. They need to stop always…
I think that if he accepted Murky Water, it would be a good opportunity for him. It's gonna be helmed by a high-profile director and scriptwriter who are known for their blockbusters dramas/movies. It would be on a more serious side which would be a good challenge for him as an actor. It's gonna be historical though so that might be a skip for some but it would be a good opportunity for him try out more serious roles and it would also give him more exposure to the general public since there will be hype surrounding the drama due to the well-known director and scriptwriter. Apparently, the character he was offered is a 'gangster' so it's gonna be way different than the noble roles he have played so far. Although we can't deny that he really excels in comedy. & hopefully it would also help to shut down all the naysayers that kept saying that he's just a wooden pretty face just because his looks overshadows his skills.
This drama sounds so much fun and interesting! :)āAccording to the Joseon period custom, he is not able to take…
I think that rule applies to his character because heās a royal son-in-law. I believe that the widowed male commoners could remarry but in his case, since heās a royal son-in-law and married into the royal family, he is expected to remain loyal to the royal family and therefore was not allowed to remarry.
Overall, there are things i like and things i don't like about this show. It's a pretty decent rom com. I actually think the story would work better as a historical. Personally felt that the writer is just better at writing the historical part of the story lol. But what I really LOVE about this show is the chemistry and Rowoon! He's just so good in this. One of his greatest acting performances, I think, because he was able to showcase his range.
The thing about this show is that when i watch the ep the first time, Iām like āwth?ā. But then i rewatched it, and suddenly Iām like āwait. Itās actually not that bad. Iām starting to understand the characters nowā. LOL. Anyone else like me?
I think the main issue most people have is the ārelationshipā between Shin Yu and Nayeon. It was dragged on for too long by the writers which made Shin Yu seem indecisive and a ātwo-timerā. Despite Shin Yu no longer physically nor emotionally with Nayeon, her character still remains in the picture. So I guess that kinda soured the watching experience for some.
But if we were to look past āNayeonā, everything else is quite enjoyable. At least, for me. I do have qualms with the sequencing of events and pacing tho. While I appreciate the creativity of non-linear storytelling, sometimes it can be too much because you just end up having more unanswered questions which could frustrate the viewers who just wants to know whatās going on but have not a single clue about anything.
I do have to say though that the actors are the āheartā of this show. They made it enjoyable for me despite the weak script and weird pacing/editing. Yeah, some might see it as being a waste of the actorsā chemistry and talent but iām quite glad that itās them and not anyone else. They embodied their characters really well.
Also as a Rowoon fan, Iām glad to see many having a positive change of opinion or are discovering him due to this role. I feel like among the idol actors out there, heās a bit under appreciated. Because when you compare him to others, the roles he have played are always different from each other, showing that he is not afraid to take on diverse roles which would expand his versatility as an actor. I canāt wait to see what the future holds for him now that heās officially a full-time actor and I hope that these new fans can also look forward to his upcoming works š
I'm so tired of them making ML's character so bad ugh it's frustrating to watch atp
Yeah the story itself is interesting but the execution could definitely be better. & I agree about the small random scenes they added in which did not contribute anything to the story. I still donāt understand the point of Shin Yuās mom scenes with his friend. Whatās that all about? š
Anyways, maybe I will like it better and maybe even understand the story better once I rewatch this weekās eps. Sometimes thatās the case. Probably because I have expectations and the episodes didnāt meet those expectations so I ended up feeling disappointed. But now that I know what to expect, I will probably like it better after a rewatch. Thatās usually the case for me lol
I'm so tired of them making ML's character so bad ugh it's frustrating to watch atp
Fr. The funny thing is that the writers themselves know and are purposely writing him to be this way. Which is why they have the other characters, especially Hong Jo, telling him off every single time. But my question is, are they seriously gonna make him continuously be like this or will there be an actual development? Bc right now, heās pretty much still the same Shin Yu from the beginning but maybe even worse than he was before. At this point, I feel like the writers are anti-Shin Yu with how theyāre handling his characterisation š just when I feel like his character is getting cute and likeable, the writers make him go two steps back by doing questionable things. Itās not only Hong Jo that is experiencing the push and pull. I, as an audience, am experiencing it too lol
Oh boy I have a lot to say. Ah so this is where I think the writing is falling apart. Initially I only had problems with the editing. But ep 10 is where I can see the flaws in the writing. Writer-nim, what are you doing with Shin Yuās character? You made him weird now. He used to be such a great character. He was flawed but likeable. Hong Jo became weird too. You better fix this! šŖ Itās such a waste of Rowoon and Jo Boahās chemistry. The writer made their relationship so unnecessarily complicated š Also stop turning Shin Yu into a red-flag. Its always one step forward and two steps back with his character. Where is the character development? I think the writer is too dependent on Rowoon. He made the character work. If it werenāt for him, I wouldāve hated his character from the start.
The way i started the episode thinking that that they were cute because they were! I was totally giddy over their scene at the bridge. It was so cute! & then I end up getting more and more frustrated as the episode went by LOL
The show is frustrating but for some reason I still want to keep watching it LOL. One thing I would compliment about this show is that its good at picking cliffhanger endings and their previews too! Iām annoyed but at the same time Iām hooked and I wanna see how this mess will be resolved. Ughh. Anyone else like me? š
Edit: also thank god both Rowoon and Jo Boah have other dramas lined up after this. With better written characters, I hope. But itās sad that their chemistry is wasted here. Hopefully they can get paired up again in the future. This is such a disappointment coming from the writer of 100 Days My Prince.
Ep10 Text Preview: "It doesn't matter. Spells or not, I love you." SY confesses his sincere feelings to HJ. SY promises to stay by HJ's side in a pure state after breaking up with NY. But NY tries to separate them, and JK surprises HJ with a date proposal.
Rejoice, everyone. It's stated on episode 10 text preview that Shinyu did indeed broke up with Nayeon. But girlie, of course, has other malicious plans.
Even knetz are finding the editing to be disorganized for this ep š I think they need to stop withholding important…
What's frustrating is that they didn't show these aspects clearly and moved on:
- Nayeon's reaction in her conversation with Hongjo in episode 7. - The scene where Shinyu meets Jungbeom (creepy flowershop guy) in episode 8. - The reason why Shinyu can't say the breakup words to Nayeon. - Nayeon discovering Shinyu collapsed. - Whether the love spell or ritual worked.
Now, I wonder about Nayeon's connection with Jungbeom: - So far, we don't know what kind of relationship Nayeon has with Jungbeom. - We also don't know if there was an agreement or something between Shinyu and Nayeon to break up.
It seems like Nayeon and Jungbeom are gathering their strength to reveal something, but since these issues haven't been resolved yet, it's putting a strain on Shinyu and Hongjo's relationship.
Even knetz are finding the editing to be disorganized for this ep š I think they need to stop withholding important scenes for the sake of suspense and start telling the story in a more linear way. It can be quite frustrating to the viewers who wants to know what's going on but as soon as we are about to get an idea, it cuts to another scene lolš But honestly, I feel like this show would be really enjoyable if it was binged instead. Watching 2 episodes per week is frustrating because of its non-linear style of storytelling. Anyways, I feel like there's a trend with the odd and even episodes. I usually find the even numbered episodes to be better than the odd ones. So I'm hopeful that today's episode would be better.
I am not sure if I am looking into too much..but I think the trigger for black magic is touch, I felt weird when…
I think it could be. Because, according to her character description, their relationship basically started when he touched/hugged her to help her from a fall (which was purposely planned out by her btw). & she described it as "game over" for him. Whatever that means.
I guess this episode pretty much confirms my suspicions that something's definitely up with Nayeon. There's more…
Overall, not a big fan of the director's choice of cutting off important scenes to withhold information and have them told through flashbacks. It just end up making the scenes feel disjointed. Scenes of their past life could have been introduced a bit earlier. If not the whole picture, then snippets of it. Like how we were shown Shinyu having a dream about it earlier. But then the show decided not to show it anymore until this episode which I think was a bad choice of directing. If we were also shown of Nayeon's intentions earlier on, I think it would have made certain things make more sense too. Like Shinyu's inability to escape from her despite wanting to. But because they did not show us clearly and wants it be as vague as possible for the mystery, it ends up creating this misunderstanding that he's 'cheating' and made him look like an indecisive fool. I've mentioned before but this show could benefit from better direction/editing.

I just donāt like how Shin Yu is written to still be petty towards Hong Jo (even when he likes her) but is a total wimp in front of Nayeon. Why? š© now that he likes her, canāt he be kinder? Jealousy is cute and all but sometimes it can be a bit much. & I also donāt like how he drags Hong Jo out of the City Hall to prevent her from seeing the chief (Nayeonās dad). While I understand his intentions, but I donāt think itās right. Knowing that Hong Jo is already ostracised at work, others seeing him with her (and people thinking that he already has a gf) would only make matters worse for Hong Jo. I actually thought that he would follow her into chiefās office and stand by her but he ended up just running away from the situation and dragging Hong Jo with him. Oh why oh why? He needs to stop avoiding problems and start facing them head on! I was wondering whatās the big deal about the promise he made with Nayeon but itās literally just to keep things on the down low about their breakup. Why canāt he just tell Hong Jo that at first? Itās so simple. I donāt get it. Instead he made Hong Jo feel insecure thinking that he have not broken up with Nayeon. Like dude. Also Hong Jo got mad, but as soon as he told her about this āpromiseā with Nayeon, she immediately went soft. If I were her Iād still be mad because why canāt he be truthful from the start? I donāt even find the kiss romantic because both of their characters are so weirdly written right now. I swear the writer better do something to redeem his character. His past self/ancestor (Mujin) seems to be a better man than the current him right now š
The way i started the episode thinking that that they were cute because they were! I was totally giddy over their scene at the bridge. It was so cute! & then I end up getting more and more frustrated as the episode went by LOL
