There are NOT two boys in this show, so there's no way this could be BL in the first place. So my point is that it makes no sense people are calling this a BL only because the GIRLfriend looks like a dude sometimes. She is not a guy, so this will never be a BL.
But yeah, in general we've already seen BLs with bi/pan characters like Semantic Error or Ball Boys.
If the next tvN action drama doesn't have these four as the leads, I'm suing someone. They're soooo badass. They could be in something like Happiness or Moving. Or who knows, maybe a sageuk about some secret ninja academy lead by noble women. I'll take anything.
Honestly the way this case was resolved felt true to the show's rhythm. The point was to prove that her father…
I'm simply watching the show and paying attention? This is a very chill drama, this episode literally proved that to you and that's why you're disappointed, no?
Ask yourself: did the show try to be impactful about anything else or things simply got fixed easily every single time? The ex, pregnancy, chaebol rumors, etc. Everything has been solved without making a big deal about it. So I have no idea how making her dad's case "impactful" would've been a good fit for this show.
You can have your expectations, but they're not the reality of the show. Unless you produce your own show I guess.

I don't think the show was trying anything "impactful". The point wasn't the case or if the dad was guilty or not. They simply were trying to show Hui Ji's relationship with the people around her: parents, friends, boyfriend.
Yes, there are slice of life stories that are heavily mixed with other genres like melodrama, romance, etc. But this show isn't going for that. The show not being what you want is not fault of the show.
this drama feels like a warm hug to me. do you guys have more recs like this? i've already watched hospital playlist…
Reply 88, Run On, Like Flowers in Sand, Birthcare Center, You Are My Spring, Tell Me That You Love Me, etc. But I would particularly recommend the film Christmas in August or any Zhang Lu film (A Quiet Dream, Fukuoka, etc).
I love this show and I won't shut up about it. π I just love how dramaless all the drama is. Also, can society be a little bit more like this group of friends? The way Hui Ji wasn't embarrassed about her family's situation (past or present), the way her friends tried to help instead of judge, and the way Ju Hyeong tried to be impartial so she could accept the possibility of things going south. Like, can we be like that? Or at least try?
PS. Is next week the whole team helping Mu Jeong sue her boss? π (I didn't watch the preview so this is not a real question).
People forgot that someone not being "their style" doesn't equal "wrong/bad". Like, why find it…
Koreans use λλΌλ§ (drama) in the same way. So when we call them dramas it's the same as calling them TV shows. It's like saying anime instead of animation. It's the same thing, only that one is the Japanese term. So it's okay to call them dramas or TV shows, it's the same. But yeah, people need to realize not everything is meant for them and that's okay. It's not the end of the world if they don't vibe with a TV show lmao.
Maybe he did... behind the screen π€·π½ββοΈI think is a normal reaction from someone who woken up with…
But the guy made the whole situation about himself and didn't even had the decency of asking her how she felt about it. Like, if he freaks out about his gf becoming a dude, wouldn't she freak out about becoming a guy too? It wasn't her choice or anything. All he could do was think about how gross it would be to kiss a guy or wtv, when she literally can't even work or do anything because of this situation. I know it's comedy, but the character is so insensitive Idk how am I supposed to believe he's a good/worthy boyfriend. I mean, I should be shipping him with her two versions but I just want to punch him. lmao
There is been a lot of debate about whether this show is BL or not but based on whatever i saw in the first two…
BL means "boys love", as in gay. Ji Eun is a girl who temporary looks like a guy. She doesn't think of herself as a guy. It's like they're reducing BL to having two male actors as leads, because if we're talking about how "queer" the show feels, it would go more to the side of a pansexual story if anything.
But yeah, in general we've already seen BLs with bi/pan characters like Semantic Error or Ball Boys.

This show is such a big win for me. It started raining and the sound of the rain made such a lovely episode feel even more cozy and fluffy.
