Me too! She's so interesting idk why, she's not a basic shallow MIL, but still evil MIL
It's because she's classy. She does terrible things but with style and calmness. So it doesn't even feel like she's evil per se. She's just extreme about her goals? LMAO (I want to defend her so bad).
It was probably two or three days. They slept together, next day the audio was made public and she started with the trust issues. She left and got to the next house... I would say it was like three days.
They already said her husband has been dead for only a month. Let's say Song Ho got the job a week later. They've been together for like three weeks tops and got all romantic like a week? Let's say two weeks ago. There's no way she's pregnant with his baby.
The only thing we know about Jeong Hui is her name. And the girls only had like one pseudo conversation with the ML, but they're already trying force a love triangle and make the friendship awkward? Why...
1. Nah, bro. They want to "save lives" but can't do the math that letting the murderer scape means more people will die? That was a golden opportunity at the hotel. Su Yeol even had the room number. They could've shoot the door or something to distract the killer, not give her a scape route. 😒
2. And why was everyone so offended by Su Yeol's lie? Like, his mom is a serial killer, of course he doesn't want people to know that. Second, the boss would always stop him and convince him that he shouldn't tell them. It wasn't personal, people. He didn't even tell his wife. You all aren't special.
They're acting as if he had ASKED to be on this case. As if he wanted to solve this case for some personal stuff and in the process he had ruined the investigation. But no, he's the one doing all the job so can they please stop.
No Way this lie is worse than working with Jung I Sin behind their back. Hiding her from the team was bad because it directly affected the case. But Jung I Sin being his mom is actually non of their businesses. She's not the killer they're trying to catch so why are they acting like he owes them shit when he knows them for like a month and they've been treating him like an intruder the whole time.
3. Damn. I felt the pain when he came clean to his wife. Such a heartbreaking scene. But I'm glad she seems to understand his perspective and isn't angry because "he lied" as if the situation was black and white.
im glad they kinda pushed it to ep 6 to really confirm the illness, at least we get to see and enjoy the progress…
Yeah. I think we'll get to enjoy some sweetness before things get real. I'm truly hoping they try to keep everything real but simple, so we don't feel a major contrast. The vibe we have right now is too perfect.
not answering min jae call was a shitty move! now I hope to see su yeol feeling guilty and sorry af in the next…
I think he didn't pick up because he was busy looking for the opera guy. But yeah, telling someone "call if X happens" and then not picking up their calls is dumb.
The second they called this a melodrama I knew what was coming but everything is so light and breezy so far, I just hope they keep it like this and don't really make the illness the whole plot from now on.
I reaaaally like this couple. Probably the first true romance I've liked this year, so let them be happy and cute, please?
This is such a weird tangle with Hae as a child actor doing a documentary thing and Hae as an author and his book…
Hae as child actor was in a sitcom where he played the role of a brother. The documentary/program is about him reuniting with the actress that played his dongsaeng.
The book has nothing to do with that. He simply won a contest when he was in high school. The book didn't do well but it's movie adaptation did. So now they're trying to extend the copywrite to make more content based on his book.
Playing a christmas song to say "hey, a war is starting!" is some sinister bullshit.
I wonder what's more expensive, marriage and divorce (plus the emotional stress of both) or hiring a bodyguard. Dude cooks, cleans, washes her hair, takes bullets for her, helps prevent war, and gives emotional support. I feel like she got married again but she didn't notice it.
I always find it odd when a family full of awful people has a "saint" like son just because, so I wasn't going to be mad about the husband having some dirt on him, but the second family felt so random. I guess they didn't want Mun Ju to grieve much longer. lmao
I'm so glad the useless security guy is gone. I don't know what his deal was but he was getting on my last nerve. Tbh I don't get how he still had a job after the church incident.
I was hoping mom in law was going to become a true ally, but I guess not. She's such an interesting character, tho.
This has such wholesome vibes, I really like it. And I like the characters a lot. I don't like how I feel like I know the whole life story of the ML when I barely know one of the girls and the other is still a big mystery. I'm hoping the girls get more individual focus in the next episodes. Their friendship is lovely tho. I want more of that. And so far this is not a love triangle and I hope they keep it like that. If they try to go reverse Reply on this instead of giving each of them a love interest, they better make it fun and harmless like Reply 88. No Reply 94-type of messy triangle, please.
I love this drama!! I feel like this year has been a win for the slice of life fans in dramaland. I love how peaceful and cute this is (the childhood flashbacks got very dark tho).
All the characters being connected one way or another is so fun to watch. And all the different interactions and relationships are very refreshing to see. I'm very excited for the development of our second couple, but our main pair is so adorable so I can wait a little bit till we get our second romance on track.

PS. Did Disney buy a better AI to do the subs? First week the subtitles weren't utter trash.

I can imagine Jeong Ho going insane if he ends up in the same room as his mom and Min Jae. He would listen those two talk and implode.
