I think so. I mean, it was pretty open-ended so you can lean whichever way you want 😅
Oh, that’s a good point. It really looked like she was beginning to heal, but then she read his letter and went into the sea. That’s why it frustrates me that they didn't reveal what he wrote. It feels like a crucial piece of the story, given how much it appeared to influence her decision.

Yeah, it was HEAVY! However, I always preferred for both leads to die if one of them HAS to die anyway. I find it more heartbreaking when only one dies, and the other stays behind. 🥲
What do you think is so good with it? Haven't seen it. Just want to know what to expect
It's not perfect, especially when you compare the production to some more recent high-budget dramas, but there is something about the story.
I really enjoyed the romance (or bromance, however you choose to see it). The relationship between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji is so unique and beautiful, but what truly made me love it was the story as a whole. It’s full of angst, yet by the end everything clicks into place and you can trace every tragedy back to the choices that set it in motion. Nothing feels random, every event feels inevitable, as though the characters had no other choice but to arrive at that point.
The OST was also phenomenal, I was obsessed with it for a long time.
I also loved Wei Wuxian’s relationship with his siblings. It was messy, complicated, full of love, resentment, loyalty, and misunderstanding, and that complexity made it one of the most compelling parts of the story for me.
I love stories about deposed kings and princes, and the pain and sadness that come with them, so I really enjoyed this. The ending was touching, and the acting was amazing throughout. However, I feel like the bonding aspect could have been developed more, it felt a bit rushed at times. Still, overall it was a beautiful and heartbreaking story.
I loved the romance and chemistry between the main leads, the cinematography, the ML, and the villains. As for the political plot, it was a bit frustrating that we had to wait until the final episode to find out what really happened, and even then, not everything was fully explained.
Special shoutout to Deng Kai, he was absolutely electrifying as Qi Min. The reddest of red flags, yet I couldn’t help but like him. His little brother was also psychotic as hell, but somehow still likable.
I also appreciated the ending and the fact that they didn’t abandon their duties to go frolicking in the countryside. I absolutely despise it when dramas take that route.
This was both painful and beautiful in equal measure. The mystery before the reveal kept me guessing and questioning everything, and it was handled so well. And the love story… gosh. It was meant to save them, but somehow it became the very thing that ruined them both. I loved every second of it. Painful in the best possible way, and a thoughtful, appropriate portrayal of such heavy topics. 10/10
I really need to stop dismissing shows with ratings below 8, because this was so good! The premise was interesting from the start, and I really liked the execution too. It kept me guessing and wanting more the whole time, and the acting was great as well.
The prosecutor literally looked more psycho than the serial killer. Such a huge ego! 😬 She was frustrating because, personally, I don’t really mind vigilantism (lol), but it created an interesting moral dilemma.
I would say so. It’s one of my favorite dramas, and Wang Duo completely won me over with his character. You should check it out and decide whether to keep watching after seeing a few episodes. 😊

Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for it.
