Am I the only one who experienced that ending as somewhat happy? π I mean, he goes back in time and the whole…
Basically, Hwan went back in time and he's going to try to save the rest of them from their tragic fates. That scene on the beach is him back in the past. People have different theories about the time travelling aspect because a lot if it was left unclear in the drama, but that's the gist of it.
SPOILER: Save Me webtoon deals with his unsuccessful attempts. He gets stuck in a time loop and every time he fails to save someone he returns back in time. In the end he finally realizes that he can't save them on his own. However, in the books that were later published, he finally succeeds in saving them, but something happens with Jaeha and basically the story doesn't end. It's still unfinished.
Hi if you donβt mind, could you spoil it for me? whatβs the tragic part about it? does it end tragically?
It ends with Hwan going back in time after Cein's death. None of the boys get a happy ending, but it's implied that Hwan is going to try and change their fate.
If you want a happy ending only watch till EP 11 "56:25" don't watch 1 sec later if u want a best ending cuz you'll…
Am I the only one who experienced that ending as somewhat happy? π I mean, he goes back in time and the whole scene at the beach seemed hopeful (to me, at least).
Iβm a bit confused, are Do Geon and Joo An siblings or related? Or theyβre just close as hyung-dongsaeng friendship?…
They're not related, just close friends. Do Geon is paying his brother's settlement, not Joo An's. His brother will appear later in the drama, but basically he's a delinquent and always causes problems for Do Geon. Joo An just knows about it because they're close.
There's a theory spreading in Twitter that Hwan is already in time loops throughout the drama, but I disagree…
Thank you! That makes a lot of sense, much more than the theory about this being a loop. I really hope they had second season in mind because so many things were left unanswered.
I forgot so many details from the notes and I need to reread them but I have no time πππ
Time travelling πI can't say I understood all of it (especially Jaeha's part in the last episode) but Hwan…
ππ I hope you at least liked the slice of life part of it. I think the time travelling aspect is fun, but what I love about this story are their personal stories and struggles combines with friendship. The angst is just delicious π
Time travelling π I can't say I understood all of it (especially Jaeha's part in the last episode) but Hwan basically went back in time to save all of them.
In the original story he gets stuck in a time loop and all his attempts fail because someone always gets hurt in the end. I forgot what happens after that and whether he succeeds in the end, but at one point Jaeha also gets involved in the whole time travelling thing. Anyways, the important thing is that Hwan went back in time and he'll try to fix the future.
If you're interested in the direct continuation of the story you can read Save Me webtoon (in the webtoon characters have different names and there are some minor differences because this drama changed some of their fates, f.ex. in webtoon Jaeha/Jungkook also dies).
So what are your fave characters??? Mine are jooan, Cein, Haru, hwan, dogeon, jeha, hosu in that order
Jooan, Haru and Cein. I can't say I like them more than the rest, but their fragility and brokenness spoke to me. The actors portrayed their emotional breakdowns so realistically π and I like angst so ...
I'm familiar with BU, but if the whole drama was one of the many time loops Hwan went through, was he not aware…
Yeah, second season would definitely be needed to clear the whole time travelling issue, but as far as I'm concerned that part with Jaeha and notebook didn't happen π and Hwan is the only one who's time travelling. I don't even think it's possible to understand what's happening with the material we currently have.
Finally finished it! I like the ending. The arrangement of the last two episodes was somewhat confusing with Cein's sudden suicide and then retrospective 'explanation', but I like how they finished it on a positive note. You get the feeling that Hwan will succeed in saving them π
The acting from all 7 actors was just amazing. These characters are demanding, but watching them act felt like watching veteran actors. Jooan, Haru and Hwan stood out because their characters were more expressive, but all of them did a really good job.
I'm also happy with the changes they made. I love original BU storyline, but these small changes work just fine. They kept the essence of the story and that's all that matters to me.

Most of it was angsty slice of life, but time travelling part made the ending confusing π
