I liked it from the beginning, but episode 16 is where it got really interesting to me. It's when (plot-wise) major things start to happen, it gets more serious & angsty. I wouldn't compare it to Korean historical dramas tho, it's a completely different genre.

I needed a few days to sort out my thoughts before writing a comment.

I REALLY wanted this to be a drama that I could rate 10 & the first 60 episodes were promising and done really well. Everything was almost perfect. The story was interesting, the scheming was intriguing, Chen Kun and Ni Ni were amazing, the chemistry between them was out of this world and Ning Yi as a character was like a dream come true for me.

However, compared to the first 60 episodes, the last 10 episodes felt disconnected and messy, and there were so many "things happening out of nowhere" moments. It wasn't all bad, some of my favourite scenes are from the last few episodes, but damn, they really messed up. Despite all of that, I think the ending was, in a way, fitting.

But yeah, taking everything into consideration it's a great drama and I would recommend it to anyone who likes more serious historical shows.

The ending 'theater scene' was so cute!

Ah, I see. That makes it even more tragic then. Thanks for answering!

Yeah, once you remove mystery it becomes somewhat tedious. I still finished it because I wanted to see how it all ends, but first half was definitely better.

I've already seen spoilers about their relationship and how it all ends and all I can say is - my heart is broken. So much suffering for both of them and in the end it was so pointless 😭

I'm gonna be honest, the only thing that keeps me watching is the relationship between Man Wol and Chung Myung. Also, the receptionist, he's adorable! I want to see the ending of his story.

So, was Feng Hao Zhi Wei's real brother and Dancheng's prince or was he the son of Qiu Mingying? I am confused. Mingying kept that birth certificate (or whatever you call it) with Feng Hao's real name, but it could've been fake?

Hmm, the first half was really interesting and I enjoyed the whole process of finding out who's responsible for the explosion, but the second part, after they found out, became somewhat draggy and in the last two episodes I just wanted it to end already.

I loved both ML and FL and their interactions and relationships growth felt really natural which is a big plus. All in all, 8/10 from me.

Finally! 😭
I really hope SJK returns for the second season, it's the role that made me his fan & it's one of my favorite dramas.

They really tested my patience with the relationship between brothers in ep. 10. Gosh, it was unbearable to watch. They did fix it in ep. 11 tho, it's finally developing into something healthy for both sides.

I like the main couple, but friendship between Choi Woong and Ji Woong is my favorite relationship in this drama. It feels so real.

I think it looks okay. It's not amazing but when it comes to cdramas I don't expect anything mind-blowing anyway. The few scenes they showed in that trailer actually look pretty good in my opinion (the water scene is a bit iffy tho).

I loved his portrayal of Hwal in Bulgasal & he was also amazing in Sweet Home. I'll definitely check out more of his works.

I usually fall for boyish charm and androgynous look when it comes to actors, but there is something alluring about Lee Jin Wook that managed to grab my attention. He's a handsome man, a good actor, and seems to have really nice personality from what I've seen by watching his behind the scene videos.

I read somewhere that the webtoon ends the same way, is that true? This is all there is to the story and what happens next is unknown?

Xiao Zhan and Li Qin together again! 🤩 Not really the era I like, but hopefully it will have a good story. I have faith in Xiao Zhan and I believe he picked a good script.

I still haven't finished, but based on these 15 episodes I have seen this is definitely my cup of tea. I desperately need more fantasy dramas like this one, with reincarnation & immortality themes. These days we mostly get zombie dramas and while they're okay, I miss this type of fantasy.

I love how everything is connected & how we don't get the whole story until the last episode. Usually when they reveal everything earlier in the drama I get bored with later episodes and just want it to end, but that's not the case here. Also, the MUSIC! This is one of the best OSTs out there, there are so many good songs. It's also visually stunning, especially scenes of the past (600 years ago).

Also, I admit I was reluctant to watch this because I wasn't a fan of Lee Jin Wook (in a sense that I didn't know who he was and I mostly pick dramas based on MLs) but he completely won me over! I don't know if I'm the only one but he reminds me of Yang Se Jong so much (or the other way around) 👀. It's like watching the more masculine version of him & their expressions are so similar! But anyways, he was really good in this role, Kwon Na Ra as well. I love how their relationship progressed and they look amazing together.

All in all, 9/10.

That game in which Karube and Chota died is one of the most ingenious things I've seen in dramas/movies of this type & Yamazaki Kento's acting in that specific episode was amazing. When they started hiding from Arisu I really thought they would beat the game and survive but well... let's just say I was dumbfounded.

I knew starting this while it's still airing would be a mistake. I enjoyed watching it so much and now I have to wait for new episodes 😩

Also, I'm living for the dynamics between Cha Young Min and Ko Seung Tak, they're such a fun duo!

Kang Cheong Ya survived and escaped tho. They could've let other two escape as well, if Soo Ho had to die anyway.

The point is they killed everyone I actually liked and characters I hated survived lol, that's why I don't actually like the ending even though I don't mind tragic endings.
