Is this show about incest? someone on the comment section talking about brother marrying the sister, is it true?
i didn't see a problem with it the entire show. they were childhood friends before their parents married, also did not grow up with each other, and lived in different homes throughout their lives, weren't even in contact for over a decade.
spoiler: they got together at the end and their parents got divorced so they're neither related by blood nor by law.
can't miss even a single dialogue or it confused me later and I've to go and rewatch the scene. a drama that requires 100% focus throughout to understand what is going on.
enjoyed watching this one. the one part that got me rolling my eyes was the big brother (kiichi) turning himself in.
early on i thought what if makiko was trying so hard to hide the past not because she did it but one of her sons did? because her being the culprit at the end would be kinda boring.
and when I tried to guess which son it'd be i thought, they deliberately tried to make kiichi look mysterious and the shabby look pushed that too and thought "watch it be the younger brother" and laughed thinking I was overthinking. seems not.
a lot of people that are mad at the ending don't want to consider that there's the final season airing just next year ofc the story doesn't conclude with this one.
oh they really made me feel so many emotions with these 20 episodes. SOL dramas aren't usually my thing but this one felt at home. no tropes were overdone and no random trauma truck either but just felt like watching a huuugeeee family get through their daily lives and problems and felt at ease watching them.
those last few minutes where DS recalls her youth and ssangmun-dong almost brought me to tears. (the ship i rooted for said too haha) (also that goat is goated - corny ik lol)
just finished ep 1 and could relate to soo many emotions and so many of their frustrations especially deoksun's. the break down she has on her sister's birthday, I felt that in my soul. honestly her sister is the most annoying and frustrating character to watch (for me) she's too rude, not to mention her hitting DS every chance she gets. I've seen siblings hit each other when they fight but imo she goes a bit overboard.
just got done with ep 2 and it's been good so far. and I kinda like the pacing, the way I get to see what kind of emotions they're feeling despite them not even saying a word during some scenes.
i like how jiuk and haeyoung aren't being too childish about having feelings for each other instead happily acknowledge it in front of each other. that scene where they went shopping and later arranged his room was so heart warming, i really didnt expect them to have this good chemistry.
also i just knew jiuk searched up an online article on "how to impress my wife" when i saw him trying all that; turns out i was close cuz it was a youtube video instead lol
i didn't actually expect this drama to turn out this well when i started watching this 4 weeks ago but this drama has made me look forward to Mondays. hope they dont waste too much time on family drama cuz I've really liked the way its been going so far
imho seungho was a very sh*tty friend to her. you see your best friend from your childhood till your teens very visibly sick and you dont check up on her beacuse of a man? not just that u dont even pick up her calls or reply to her messages? and then have the guts to ask her why she didn't tell you? what seokryu's ex did was wrong & his rant came out in the worst possible way. but looking back the way seungho yelled & got mad at seokryu cuz he realised he liked her was way more toxic im sorry he had no right to last out at her like that when she even brought food for him that she made. to me thats worse than her ex's lash out.

the FL's dad married the ML's mom but she had her two children (ML and his brother) with her ex-husband.
