i hate that it is now one episode a day but i have to say they really picked a good episode to start with because there is so much to say about ep 24

Nope, not in the novel at least. Both are very straight forward people.

I don't really know how to answer that. in the novel when they don't see each other it was only the time for them to do brief side quests alone (and I can't remember how long those took but it was maybe a couple months) for their own character arcs before meeting again and then they get together again pretty quickly

Yes, at least in the novel. once when he leaves to go back to the army and his background is revealed. and once when they find out her background. both brief because these two are obsessed with each other.

There's another small matter that is revealed on why people are trying to assassinate her and what her family background is... but the separation is short because battle princess ml is a simp for his jock himbo wife.

I think they just have really long lifespans, but aren't actually immortal. I think the bad guy king was 100 and that was considered pretty old already. So i think it has more to do with them being able to prolong their lives with power, so if they give up some of the power then they are giving up some of their ability to prolong their life
