Do I care? No really π€‘
I get we had to see it all to understand the present timelines, but omg please less flashbacks now, I am all for that angsty pinning era as adults π There is so much regret on both sides it's crazy. I also want to know if he knows what happened after he left or nah. If nah, I need to see him react to it ASAP π
So as always I did not read the synopsis, not even sure if it's explained there, but I'm quite curious about their past π€‘
Before I write my thoughts on episode one, I just want to say I loved it, but I am almost mentally prepared to be disappointed in the 2nd half, as it often goes with dramas π
so let's go:
THE FUCKING TENSION. They better keep that rejecting/pinning dynamic for some time coz I love it π I am a simple woman - well delivered cliches with great chemistry between the leads will always get me.
That staircase scene? π₯ππ₯ Woo Su Bin for sure has that possessive male lead in him, cannot wait for him to get jealous. This is a rare case when I actually hope to see a second male lead, coz I need him to get anxious about potentially loosing her π
The vague past story I kind of assumed from episode one - he was inspired by her dream and decided to be a director too. They wanted to make movies together. Then his mother did something to fuck up Ju I Jae, and he left to US. Now he is back with the most egocentric typical male lead attitude - I'm back to make up for the past and also get back with you, you kind of have no say in it π€‘π
Baby girl Ju I Jae is just struggling to survive as a proper female lead should π She also has a hot bestie, as she should have.
Side note, it's so good to see Lee Sang Yeob on screen again, been ages for me π
Anyway, the chemistry guys. I need next episode yesterday π
And what adds to that experience is the fact I watched it not with English, but Korean subs π
One could ask, how the fuck did I not know it's an erotic horror with a poster like that, but let me tell you - horror makers love to "shock" with poster to then deliver "metaphorical" content π So me thinking it's gonna be some psychological horror focused on being consumed by desire or some shit. And of course I did not read the synopsis, nor checked the tags. I'm just watching every horror on mdl database as I go π
BUT, I actually had fun with it π€‘ It was a mess, but intentional? Like there was a chocolate scene that brought back memories of the Winnie the Pooh moment from Top Form π The plot was simple, but engaging and had quite a few twists. Quite a few times I went - no fucking way, they ain't doing that right? Overall, it did give more of a psychological erotic thriller than horror, but I also kind of get here the horror genre came from.
The ending? Could not stop laughing. Honestly fitting. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Both leads fucked around and found out π€‘π Also Jesus cried bloody tears and I don't blame him with everything he witnessed π
of for fuck sake... Gen AI has been used in selective scenes. My excitement went down from 100 to 50. It's sad how people don't care anymore about the quality of their production. Gen AI will always look worse than job done by professionals themselves.
Honestly, if I witnessed a surgeon saying "Can't give a speech I was paged for an operation" I'd be impressed not annoyed.
Well, the wife sucks π€‘ And so does her family. The thing I never understood - he is hella skilled and you need him. He is stubborn and will not just do what you want him to do, he will follow his own morality (he is right btw) - don't fight it, use it. How good of a marketing and promotion it would be. Get the press to write an article how he left and event because he had urgent operation, or how he moved patient who needed surgery right away and pushed back surgery for the VIP that was not life threatening at the moment - THIS IS SUCH A GOOD PRESS LIKE WHAT THE FUCK. And get the VIP patient on it, quote a statement of him saying how he understand and is happy that such a responsible surgeon will operate on him later. Like this is such a press win win situation π
Okay.... she is laterally not a good person... why is he with her? It's not just "she has some personality flaws", she is morally corrupt lol I also read the synopsis... just let her get kidnapped Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
If she had such a hard time cleaning the mess with him leaving press briefing and calming down the VIP dude... maybe she is just bad at her work? π€‘π
Also, just hit me... this is Seo Yeong and Lee Je Ha married after Lee Da Eum R.I.P π₯²
Honestly... I feel like their relationship is kind of why I would not want to marry into extremely wealthy family. It is true that money corrupts the mind and I would not want that to happen to me. Being wealthy enough to live comfortable life without worrying about bills etc - 100% enough for me.
Muhaha tells you a lot that he was not 100% sure if he said the shit or not π€‘
I'll be honest... not sure how I feel about first episode π₯²ππ
The moment hot ML could not contact the lady prosecutor I knew she dead π
I hate when the actor plays the bad guy and they chew the fucking gum like it's their life passion and the only thing they live for π€‘π
The way he stood up for him, he hates him, but not really. He hates how much he has hots for hi,, that's for sure π
Reinvestigating your father's case seems like a breach of... everything fucking rule of prosecution, but sure π€‘
I really hope baby boy had to go through only physical abuse. I'm kind of scared to watch the flashback π₯²
Okay so the flashback was something else, thank god lol
Not gonna lie, Ju Tae Seon is a decent clown. When he said" He might not be the real murderer, but that doesn't matter to me" I died a little but, COZ WHAT DO YOU MEAN? YOU ARE A PROSECTUOR, NOTHING ELSE SHOULD MATTER TO YOU ππππ'
oooh... he is the son of the victim... awkward. But also more reasons for him to watch THE REAL murderer π€‘ I guess he is more and more of a clown with each line.
"How can the perpetrator's kin investigate the case justly" color me surprise, I did not expect some self-reflesction and reason in this show π₯
Why is he giving him a sausage like that ππ€‘ππ
I occurred to me like half way through episode 4... how chill these two dudes are about that make out biting lips moment they had ππ€‘
Ju Tae Seon legit just basically said: I want you to get drunk fast. I have no time for this slow shit.
This man πππ
omo. drunk kiss... I lost my brain so I don;t care how one is drunk and one is not π
OMO! HAND BLINDHOLD DAMN... i was not ready π
EXCUSE ME LOL the fucking close up shot of baby boy's face when hot oppa is pounding into baby boy from behind ππππππππππ I am fucking crying from laughing hahahah that side shot tho, pretty ππ»
Choking and aggressive kissing... and the bish asks "why you hate me so much" baby boy... you dumb? π€‘
Okay these episodes were low-key intense. I have no fucking idea what's up, Ju Tae Seon is creepy but also hot... curious what's the deal between them π
I cannot believe I'm up to date with the episode π€£
I don't know why. Don't ask π
The biggest surprise? I actually do not hate Liao Shi Yu. I do hate the AI ex tho π€£
