I really liked how the heavy comedy did not take away from the tragedy of FL's end and her past story. While most of the episode was all fun and jokes, it was serious when it needed to be.

SOLID opening for episode 1. Honestly, I just cannot with the pretty shots of pretty people drinking poison in a pretty way and dying in a pretty manner. The way she went was painful to watch and I love it. The way they had to force her to drink it... damn.

But also, the way the show of her waking up in modern time was made was perfection. LOVE how we have a longer show starting with the close up to her face and then camera slowly moving away, with a bop of a song, her just sitting there confused and the production team moving around since they finished filming the scene. Such a good change of mood and tension from her dying.

Jae Pil as an asshole is so much fun 🤣 Also Jae Pil is ML, just so you know. Heo Nam Jun will forever be Jae Pil for me 🤡 I am so used to him playing a nice guy since I mostly remember him from A Hundred Memories and When the Phone Rings, this role feels so refreshing AND HOT 🔥🙂🔥AND HE BROUGH DIFFERENT PAPERS FOR EVERY 10 SECOND PASSING DROPPING THE PRICE WHAT A MOVE 🤣🤡

Big thing I also appreciate how awkward and weird by modern standards Sin Seo Ri is right now. I feel like too often they start acting "well" and blending in too fast, whenever they migrate to past or presence. But this bitch is full on crazy mode and it makes perfect sense.

Half way through episode and I adore she is still acting like a royal consort from the past and not getting anything. This makes sense. Her thinking she is in hell after death. They always figure out they are in the future/past way too fucking quickly and act according to social normal associated with times. Ain;t here 🤣

One more thing I loved about episode 1 is how little screentime together the leads had. I love when I can get to know the leads as individuals first, before I dive deep into their dynamic together.

Probably it's a onetime thing. The 3 of them are on the bigger names side, especially Bo Gum, don't think he could find time to film a show like that again.

Did you finish the show? Coz it feels like you did not. The kid that was cheating? Also a victim of an abuse relationship. And while it was her choice to cheat and she faced the consequences of needing to rewrite and fix her whole thesis, FL took into consideration her situation and did not give up on her, which literally saved the kid's life.

There are things she need to own up to - like the way she treated her child... which guess what - she does in the show as the plot progresses. It's never THE focus of the show because it's not a drama about parenthood, but it exists as part of the plot.

I am not saying everything is ML's fault - what happened in their relationship tho IS HIS FAULT as he literally carefully curated it, including harming an animal to get close to her son. And killing her mother, and uploading online a video of her "fake sex tape"... I mean none of that was her fault. Don't you think the focus should be on punishing people who do wrong and not shaming people who are not "strong enough" to set boundaries?

Her being slapped is not her fault, not it is ML's fault. It's the person who slapped her fault.

As for her doing zero work on herself - that's literally THE PLOT 🤣 You do not work on yourself while you are still in the abusive environment which she was in - which included her mother and "uncle" who sexually abused her as a teen and now tries to get back to her life using her job as a leverage. The whole plot is the journey of her slowly learning how to set boundaries and cut abusive people from her life.

By that logic there is no such a thing as victim overall... You got robbed? Well maybe you should put more plain clothes so you won't look like someone who has anything valuable on you? Your home got broken into? Why did you make your home look like it's worth breaking into? Why did you not get better security? A kid gets bullied at school? Well that's their fault for looking weak, they could just make themselves look stronger and more confident. A man gets all his money and assets stolen from his ex wife who married him for money only and planned it all with her boyfriend? His fault for getting into relationship with her.

Where is the line when the blame should be put on the person who does the wrong thing, not the person who was hurt?

coz using catfish on episode 2 out of 16 makes no sense unless later you will bring one more guy. They love to change things in these shows to make them interesting. How they had two island in single inferno, two exes in Ex-Change. it would not be completely weird for them to have more catfish this season either.

I would not even call him a catfish. Pretty sire there will be one more guy and 2 more girls joining. I always view the ones who "join late" to stir shit up catfish. He was basically just a bit late 🤣

The way Shito Zen just dropped the "I never slept with any other man than you" bomb on Yotsuya Ryo and casually left I cannot 🤣🤣🤣

Honestly... I loved the cuddling scene in episode 2 and I wish it was longer. And I kind of wish Zen did not go full self-defense and just fell asleep again 🥲 My dude, you can LITERALLY relax coz you won that "face off" before it even started 🤡

The K-drama industry needs to realize that we can have drama and intelligent characters. < yeah but if characters in horrors were smart the drama would end before it started, like here - they would just not make the wish and not use the app in the first place and it would end 30 minutes into episode 1 🤣

There are a lot of episodes but the story builds slowly, giving you a sense of how grooming works in real life - a steadily dripping tap rather than full force. < this. Any faster pacing would make it feel like cheap makjang. Because where we end is truly "crazy", but the build up makes it realistic and matching what can and does happen in real life.
