If I can't stand the first episode but it looks like I might like the storyline I use the rule of 5. I do this…
I could never skip to 5th episode and not watch the 3 between 1 and 5 haha I either watch it all or drop it. But I have to say, that's some unique system. Glad it works for you. I don't have that "i want to know how the drama ends" tbh. For me the process of getting to that ending is what's interesting. I'm fine with not getting the closure (open endings are some of my favorite ones).

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT IDEA AND SYSTEM WOW i have been meaning to do something along the lines of this since i have…
Good luck then! Take your time, and honestly, if you won't like the experience, feel free to stop. I'm doing it coz it's truly fun for me. But if it makes someone anxious or annoyed, there is no reason to do that :)

I just looked at the list LOL. I don't think it will happen. It is only 19 of them but I know why I dropped them.…
Oh, well, going with on hold is good too! I don;t have on hold, so for me dropped is the only way to go :D

This is an absolute great idea. I have been trying to figure out a way to get back my loving feeling I once had…
You can take time with it. I never prioritize dropped dramas over the shows I am watching. I watch one or two episodes when I am done with currently airing ones, or I am in the mood to the "challenge" lol

The last drama I watched again after dropping it was someday or one day, I remember I was so bored the first time…
oh, good to know! It is on my ptw list, will remember to be more patient with it hahaha

Really enjoyed your article and will find your process quite helpful. I have a number of dramas that I simply…
It's quite a normal thing on mdl I see often: people stop watching shows they enjoy, coz a new "shiny new toy" aka new drama shows up. The beginning of the shows are usually excited so we sometimes lose interest in the show we've been watching. Sometimes, all we need is a bit of a break for them to watch them again :)

I loved the "random number generator" idea! I'm definitely using it in the future. I sometimes do re-start a dropped…
I use random number generator formy ptw too hahaha I hate wasting time picking shows for hours, this solves the problem :)

I had 4 dramas I've dropped, mainly cuz I was sick and didn't get a chance to finish it later. I'm currently finishing…
oh, you have some well love titles in your dropped list hahaha Misaeng is on my ptw list. Everyone tells me I will love it hahahah

I haven't yet, but I have some I'm thinking about trying to watch again. And I never thought I would say that,…
It's not for everyone hahaha if someone is sure, they will not like the shows they dropped, or they don't want to waste time with hopes of finding few good ones, then they don't have to do it.

But I myself have quite a lot of fun with this project :)

i used to get stressed about dropping dramas because i felt that i had to finish everything i started, but not…
Oh, I totally do not have the "I have to finish everything I started" feeling. It's more on, for example: I drop shows coz I watch too many atm and feel overwhelmed. So it;s not like I dislike the shows, I just could not keep up. So I am sure I dropped shows I would love.

I drop dramas easily and normally have no regrets, life is too short to waste it on a piece of fiction that doesn't…
Well... I have such a "on a whim" reasons to drop dramas, I dropped quite a few I know I would like if I watched them in a different time (less stressful in real life, less currently watching airing shows etc.). I'm having a lot of fun with the project tbh. Sometimes I find hidden gems, sometimes I can entertain myself with ranting about how bad the show is not feeds hahaha

I usually just put dramas on hold. Over the years I've seen my tastes in shows evolve and sometimes regress depending…
Well, since I started using on hold for completed shows and variety shows I am watching, I simply cannot put them on hold. Now, I usually add note to the dropped show, with the reason I dropped it. If it was just "not in the mood" etc, I usually am more excited to pick them up again.

Glad to see you're finding some good stuff from your dropped list. As you mentioned, it certainly can seem like…
I don't mind watching these 3 episodes of the shows I disliked and dropped (even if I still end up dropping them). With how easily I drop shows, making sure the ones on the list are actually not for me gives me peace of mind hahaha + ranting about them as I watch the 3 episodes is quite entertaining too hahaha

In the past I set myself a number of episodes I have to watch before dropping too. At some point I just stopped caring tho.

I dropped Healer after the first episode. Back then, I thought that it was real bad, the action scenes were really…
oh! I actually did not like first episode of Healer too. Not the best opening for a drama for sure.

Sometimes, watching a show with other people make is "better": either coz you are affected by them enjoying it or because you can rant together hahaha

There are also dramas that I forgot that I ever started and dropped a ha ha ha ha. Those are the worst because…
Came across some of these during the project hahaha
Usually watching one episode I have already seen refreshes my memory enough to continue with the plot, but for few dramas I just had no idea what's up and what happened before.

I dopped one that everybody likes: Goblin. I love both FL and ML but I didn't like them in this drama. Couldn't…
Oh, I liked Goblin a lot but I also feel like I would not like it as much if I watched it now.
I dropped It's okay not to be okay too, for a specific reason aka they started to go into Disney territory of FL getting better with her APD coz of "love" lol

I dropped Secret (2013) and picked it up after a few years. And since then, I've watched it about four times.
Secret is probably one of the best makjang melo kdramas in the history.
I've rewatched it quite a few times myself :)

I'm definitely not a dropper, I've only dropped 3 dramas. But I really liked your article and the points you made…
Well, if you are not an easy dropped, there is no reason to pick up the dramas you dropped, since there must have been a truly valid reason you dropped them in the first place hahaha this system works more for people like me, who drop shows on a whim hahahaha

such an interesting article!
thank you hahaha
Not sure how interesting it is, but I've been doing the 2nd chance project for a year now and kind of wanted to share the experience hahaha
