I usually just put dramas on hold. Over the years I've seen my tastes in shows evolve and sometimes regress depending…
Well, since I started using on hold for completed shows and variety shows I am watching, I simply cannot put them on hold. Now, I usually add note to the dropped show, with the reason I dropped it. If it was just "not in the mood" etc, I usually am more excited to pick them up again.

Glad to see you're finding some good stuff from your dropped list. As you mentioned, it certainly can seem like…
I don't mind watching these 3 episodes of the shows I disliked and dropped (even if I still end up dropping them). With how easily I drop shows, making sure the ones on the list are actually not for me gives me peace of mind hahaha + ranting about them as I watch the 3 episodes is quite entertaining too hahaha

In the past I set myself a number of episodes I have to watch before dropping too. At some point I just stopped caring tho.

I dropped Healer after the first episode. Back then, I thought that it was real bad, the action scenes were really…
oh! I actually did not like first episode of Healer too. Not the best opening for a drama for sure.

I remember I have dropped Ange's Last Mission: Love, back when it was airing (it felt too slow for me), but last…
Sometimes, watching a show with other people make is "better": either coz you are affected by them enjoying it or because you can rant together hahaha

There are also dramas that I forgot that I ever started and dropped a ha ha ha ha. Those are the worst because…
Came across some of these during the project hahaha
Usually watching one episode I have already seen refreshes my memory enough to continue with the plot, but for few dramas I just had no idea what's up and what happened before.

I dopped one that everybody likes: Goblin. I love both FL and ML but I didn't like them in this drama. Couldn't…
Oh, I liked Goblin a lot but I also feel like I would not like it as much if I watched it now.
I dropped It's okay not to be okay too, for a specific reason aka they started to go into Disney territory of FL getting better with her APD coz of "love" lol

I dropped Secret (2013) and picked it up after a few years. And since then, I've watched it about four times.
Secret is probably one of the best makjang melo kdramas in the history.
I've rewatched it quite a few times myself :)

I'm definitely not a dropper, I've only dropped 3 dramas. But I really liked your article and the points you made…
Well, if you are not an easy dropped, there is no reason to pick up the dramas you dropped, since there must have been a truly valid reason you dropped them in the first place hahaha this system works more for people like me, who drop shows on a whim hahahaha

such an interesting article!
thank you hahaha
Not sure how interesting it is, but I've been doing the 2nd chance project for a year now and kind of wanted to share the experience hahaha

Actually you're right. Why have an on-hold list if I never actually want to restart watching those dramas any…
I mean, you can always drop a show but add a not to it "come back to it later" or something. I did it with few shows, to know these ones were dropped not because they are bad, but because I was simply not in the mood for them :)

It's so related to me. I too dropped so many dramas and the drop list has grown into large number than other list.…
I did not try Eternal Love yet, but it is on my ptw hahaha We'll see how it goes for me.
But yeah, I dropped NiF twice and I cannot see myself giving it 3rd chance ever. I lot of people who LOVE this drama love ML, while I truly disliked him. So suffering for more episodes makes no sense for me hahahaha

I love this article and it's so relatable! Thank you for giving this a go and writing about it. I liked the idea…
In the past I was putting dramas on hold too, for future revisit. But since I now use "on hold" list differently, I only can drop shows hahaha

For the "picking dramas"... that depends. First of all, even if I am not in the mood, I quickly get in the mood if I start episode and that helps a lot. I always try to keep up with airing dramas I am watching - new episode, watch as soon as possible.

For the dramas from my ptw lists, I made custom lists for each country. Usually I think what country I want to watch, then scroll through the list - if something catches my attention, I go with that. If not - random number generate next drama hahaha

Started off with a bang, 'i have dropped 114 dramas till date' XDThis is a really methodical way to tackle this,…
Well, 114 is not even that many. It's because it took me years to finally start dropping shows in the first place hahahha

I actually really liked first 8 episodes of NiF, but after that I slowly started losing interested and even started to get frustrated hahaha Got to episode 20, coz everyone told me that's the "turning point" lol

I praise your bravery once it's hit the dropped bin for me it ain't coming back. What did you think of Nobody…
Nobody Knows is actually one of the shows I dropped hahaha BUT I dropped it coz I was just not in the mood and I'm for sure on the "excided" side to pick it up again at some point.

It was really dark and emotionally exhausting tho.

I might have to try this, I've dropped at least 200 dramas at this point usually just because I get bored watching…
Not a problem. I mean, everyone can adjust the rules for themselves. I did what works for me :)

Nope, no second chance. (°o°)I drop because of reasons: it's sexist, it's lazy/uninspired writing, it's propaganda,…
No, it actually is impulsive. If I drop a show 8 minutes in episode 1 just coz I don't feel it, it's definition of being impulsive hahaha

There are some dramas I dropped and will not include in my 2nd chance project (for example if in the cast there is an actor accused of SA etc), but most dramas I dropped on a whim without any specific reason. "insulting you with propaganda, sexist character, laziness and so son" are not the reason I drop dramas most of the time.

Like Project S: Skate Our Souls which I named in the article: dropped it coz at the time I watched it the first time, it was too much for me, after picking it up again it became one of my favorite dramas I have seen in 2020.

If someone drops dramas for specific reason (be it sexist character, poorly written story, any type of triggers) then yeah, not picking them up makes sense. For me it's "nah, I don't feel it at the moment" or "damn I watch to many dramas atm, need to drop some titles".

Okay. My dropped list is not that big. You have given me a goal. I must drop more but only after the 2nd try.…
You won't even know when your dropped list will start to grow hahaha it started with just few dramas for me too hahaha

I don't think I need to revisit dramas I've dropped because of the plot and characters. They are obviously not…
For me, even the dramas I disliked coz of the plot and characters are big question mark, coz my taste changed a lot. Things I disliked in the past I like now.

I feel you with SKY Castle tho. I had similar "problem" with Save Me. Was on hold for me for 2 years coz it was too intense and I was just getting too angry while watching.

oh, I had a different take on Navillera. For me it was good, but it would be even an amazing character driven…
Well, they had Vincenzo with actor who cannot speaking Italian speaking Italian, many people made fun of it. Pretty sure ALL dramas has doubles: for fighting scenes, cooking scenes, and at times dancing. Not only that, in When the Devil Calls Your Name the main actress who acted as singer-song writer did not sing any of the song, and her voice was dubbed for the performances.

At the end of the day, for me, it's better to cast an actor who does not have well trained skill but fits the character, than having someone who slay in said skill, but his performance in portraying the character does not fit. I did not mind the double for Navillera, they filmed it quite well with the limits that the set and skills of the actor set.

interestingly, i have a higher tendency to drop drama's if they are completed (especially those 40++ episode ones)…
Oh, I drop currently airing dramas far more than completed ones, but that's because overall I watch more currently airing ones.

I had a need to give a drama fair chance with few episodes in the past, but now I can give up even few minutes in first episode.

But I kind of understand why you would drop completed dramas more often if we think about the spacing episode up a bit in time :)
