Or like... the energy disruptions caused by sunspots awaking whatever was hiding the the deeper layers of Earth. They just dropped some hints at the beginning, but then never came back to this idea.
IF they showed a backlash towards his theory from scientific community, and him just going forward with it regardless, I would be fine. There are bad scientists out there. He would be Wakefield of drama world. But they showed him as a legit scientists with legit theory... when it was not.
For me the set up was weak and unrealistic so I just lost any interest in the show after that.
The gene is LINKED to specific set of behaviors. It's not a psychopath gene tho. It's also linked to other disorders, even depression. So it was misrepresentation of a scientific fact, which in my eyes is basically unscientific. Also, they kept using serial killer and psychopath interchangeably: WRONG. Planty of psychopaths that ain't killin anyone and are in fact quite successful. The fact that they presented a dude who claim all psychopaths are killers and breaking the law and removing psychopathy from the gene poll altogether would remove the crime from society as some genius that might get nobel prize was laughably dumb and insulting to anyone who ever studied psychopathy or psychology.
I sadly dropped it on episode 3. I was too "triggered" by all the psychological unscientific stuff. The 3 I've seen just left me angry. The psychopath premise was too dumb for me to handle. So even if the mystery itself was good, the world building killed my braincells.
One thing tho, I would not dismiss people who fast forward so quickly. If so many people felt the need to fast forward, chances are the drama itself is at fault, since it failed to grab the attention of so many of the viewers.
Well, she did the kicking lol
And I actually enjoy them both. I love how ridiculously emo and overdramatic the main couple is, and I live for So Nyeo Shin making it worse all the time. It's not sad, but it's entertaining.
On the other hand, I love the cliche love triangle with the supporting cast. I've missed the proper typical one for a while, since most dramas now add some over the top setting or exaggerated character traits. These 3 are pretty average and have some angsty tension going on. Fun.
Not to mention, he WAS firm but polite - the first time around. They ignored his wishes, were on the far end of acting disrespectful by following him around (even to his home), secretly taking photos of him and then posting them online framed in their delusional context of shipping. I fail to see why he as a victim in this situation had to be polite to them.
And what's the point of Mork asking the guys to delete the fanpage the first time, when he decided to use them to pressure Pi into being in a relationship with him the 2nd time around instead of calling them out for opening it again lol
How was it rude? He told them once to delete the fanpage coz it's creepy and wrong and he does not like people secretly taking pictures of him and following him around. Then they made the fanpage AGAIN against his wishes. He was extremely polite. I would report them to school administration lol Their obsessive and delusional behavior got people literally threatening to take photos of his bedroom.
Problem is, it is NOT one mistake but pattern of problematic behavior lol From the beginning he fueled the fanpage and saw no problem with it. Even now, that Pi truly was done with everything and was in huge emotional distress, Mork, instead of giving Pi REAL space to figure shit out, decided to play the bullshit "ex-girlfriend" game. And don't even try to tell me it's the friends idea. Mork can say: NO, we ain't doing it. I want to give him some space.
From day one he is trying to manipulate and pressure Pi into being in a relationship with him. Maybe for you it's not toxic, For me it is.
With that, fuck Mork very much. I am welcoming him on the trash list of few BL characters. He is literally scary now.
The fact that he still did not tell Pi he is the online friend is creepy enough and hella insincere. Then there is the whole "using crazy shippers to force him to like me back" and the interview with "he loves me, he just denies his feelings". Bro, what a fucked up thing to do. Take a few steps back and reevaluate your trash behavior.
And then when Pi stood up for himself after his privacy was violated in such a gross way, with people even threatening to take photos of his bedroom, Mork had the audacity to criticize Pi for reacting in such a strong but VALID way? What the fuck is wrong with him?
Props for the writer tho, they are using the problematic tropes in BLs as actually problematic and not as a fun comedy bits. I would not mind them twisting the whole romance into a "how to spot a toxic person and get away from them" deal, and Pi not ending up with Mork.
damn, I dropped it after first episode, it was just tooo all over the place for me to handle hahaha
