Title Undercover
It pains me but this show if quite poorly written. We are told the characters are capable and smart, but all they do is making mistake after mistake - lack of working braincells is strong.

Review My Engineer Spoiler
It's weird that the main couple was the weakest part of the whole show.
There scenes that were suppose to be funny made me bored, but the serious ones got me almost one the floor laughing lol

This! All of this!
It's sad, coz it would not be that hard to fix it and make it better :(

I was ready for them to confirm Sun Aliens... but they didn't :(
Or like... the energy disruptions caused by sunspots awaking whatever was hiding the the deeper layers of Earth. They just dropped some hints at the beginning, but then never came back to this idea.

If you didn’t like it you did good to drop it but I have to say that there wasn’t any psychological unscientific…
Daniel Lee's theory was that tho, he himself associated psychopaths with serial killers and used the terms interchangeably. That's my problem, his theory was WRONG but he was shown to be genius and was nominated for a nobel prize lol WHO would be on his ass fast if this happened in real life. All his theories, hypotheses and results would be checked by countless of other specialists and criticized.
IF they showed a backlash towards his theory from scientific community, and him just going forward with it regardless, I would be fine. There are bad scientists out there. He would be Wakefield of drama world. But they showed him as a legit scientists with legit theory... when it was not.

Well, I don't plan to finish it. Also my 2 friends were watching it and spamming me with the plot in the chat, I know most of the plot more or less.
For me the set up was weak and unrealistic so I just lost any interest in the show after that.

Then they should have made up a gene. Not use one that truly exists and pretend like it's a psychopath gene, when it is not. They want to use real scientific research and finding as a set up for the plot, they better do it right. Otherwise, just make things up, so no one can complain it makes no sense.

I have a degree in clinical and neuropsychology lol Don't need an education on the topic.
The gene is LINKED to specific set of behaviors. It's not a psychopath gene tho. It's also linked to other disorders, even depression. So it was misrepresentation of a scientific fact, which in my eyes is basically unscientific. Also, they kept using serial killer and psychopath interchangeably: WRONG. Planty of psychopaths that ain't killin anyone and are in fact quite successful. The fact that they presented a dude who claim all psychopaths are killers and breaking the law and removing psychopathy from the gene poll altogether would remove the crime from society as some genius that might get nobel prize was laughably dumb and insulting to anyone who ever studied psychopathy or psychology.

I'm glad so many people loved the show. Always better to love than hate anything (unless it's a hate watch, then we love to hate hahaha).

I sadly dropped it on episode 3. I was too "triggered" by all the psychological unscientific stuff. The 3 I've seen just left me angry. The psychopath premise was too dumb for me to handle. So even if the mystery itself was good, the world building killed my braincells.

One thing tho, I would not dismiss people who fast forward so quickly. If so many people felt the need to fast forward, chances are the drama itself is at fault, since it failed to grab the attention of so many of the viewers.

I DON'T THINK THAT THERE IS A VILLAIN IN THE STORY LIKE A MAN VS MAN TYPE OF CONFLICT. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY MAN VS…
You can support someone in an empathetic way, or kick them when they lay on the ground in pain with the thought "what does not kill you, makes you stronger".
Well, she did the kicking lol

It's like watching two completely separate dramas: 1st, emo teen romance of Dong Kyung and Myeol Mang. 2md, typical rom-com love triangle with Joo Ik, Ji Na and Hyun Gyu.

And I actually enjoy them both. I love how ridiculously emo and overdramatic the main couple is, and I live for So Nyeo Shin making it worse all the time. It's not sad, but it's entertaining.

On the other hand, I love the cliche love triangle with the supporting cast. I've missed the proper typical one for a while, since most dramas now add some over the top setting or exaggerated character traits. These 3 are pretty average and have some angsty tension going on. Fun.

We don't know Mork is the online friend. The friend is played by Pond because that's who Pi is imagining it is.…
Yeah, I think I will pass. It would be pointless for me to explain how Mork's behavior was problematic to someone who says a victim should be polite to their delusional stalkers who constantly violated his privacy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not to mention, he WAS firm but polite - the first time around. They ignored his wishes, were on the far end of acting disrespectful by following him around (even to his home), secretly taking photos of him and then posting them online framed in their delusional context of shipping. I fail to see why he as a victim in this situation had to be polite to them.

And what's the point of Mork asking the guys to delete the fanpage the first time, when he decided to use them to pressure Pi into being in a relationship with him the 2nd time around instead of calling them out for opening it again lol

We don't know Mork is the online friend. The friend is played by Pond because that's who Pi is imagining it is.…
Oh please, it's definitely him. If it was just Pi's imagining Mork, they would just show him fully, and not trying to be all sneaky about it. Not to mention they literally showed Mork message the "flaws" to Pi as the online friend and him almost sending that he fell for Pi. They literally confirmed it is in fact Mork.

How was it rude? He told them once to delete the fanpage coz it's creepy and wrong and he does not like people secretly taking pictures of him and following him around. Then they made the fanpage AGAIN against his wishes. He was extremely polite. I would report them to school administration lol Their obsessive and delusional behavior got people literally threatening to take photos of his bedroom.

Problem is, it is NOT one mistake but pattern of problematic behavior lol From the beginning he fueled the fanpage and saw no problem with it. Even now, that Pi truly was done with everything and was in huge emotional distress, Mork, instead of giving Pi REAL space to figure shit out, decided to play the bullshit "ex-girlfriend" game. And don't even try to tell me it's the friends idea. Mork can say: NO, we ain't doing it. I want to give him some space.

From day one he is trying to manipulate and pressure Pi into being in a relationship with him. Maybe for you it's not toxic, For me it is.

To be fair, Pi asked Mork never to leave him. I think Mork took it a bit too literally, lol! But you're right,…
if I was Pi was would kick Mork in the nuts and cut all contact. Like, dude starts to be legit scary. I'm 100% on Pi's side. Just because Mork likes him, does not mean Pi needs to like him back. and even if Pi likes him back, it does not mean he needs to accept Mork's feelings and be in a relationship with him. For me, what Mork did this episode was crossing the line and showed total lack of respect towards Pi.

One should not weaponize words of someone who was in emotional distress lol He was devastated coz he thought his mother is angry at him being gay lol He was not exactly in an emotionally stable position for anyone to take his words in a face value.

Well... way to ruin a character. There is a fine line between actively pursuing someone when they did not officially rejected you, and just straight up pressuring them into being in a relationship with you.

With that, fuck Mork very much. I am welcoming him on the trash list of few BL characters. He is literally scary now.

The fact that he still did not tell Pi he is the online friend is creepy enough and hella insincere. Then there is the whole "using crazy shippers to force him to like me back" and the interview with "he loves me, he just denies his feelings". Bro, what a fucked up thing to do. Take a few steps back and reevaluate your trash behavior.

And then when Pi stood up for himself after his privacy was violated in such a gross way, with people even threatening to take photos of his bedroom, Mork had the audacity to criticize Pi for reacting in such a strong but VALID way? What the fuck is wrong with him?

Props for the writer tho, they are using the problematic tropes in BLs as actually problematic and not as a fun comedy bits. I would not mind them twisting the whole romance into a "how to spot a toxic person and get away from them" deal, and Pi not ending up with Mork.

As far as I know there is no banning, but there are new restrictions and rules on how these show have to work,…
Well, it goes both ways. Chinese present Koreans in bad light, and Koreans present Chinese in bad light. Tho in Chinese media it feels more like a "ban" on even mentioning Korea. Like, you don't hear contestants being in the past in Korean survival show, but foreign one. They put Chinese ver. of songs even if the trainees were dancing to Korean ones. Lisa was not member of kpop group, but a foreign group etc.
