International means different nationalities not races tho. You can say it's not interracial, which is true since it's mostly still Asians, and few white and half white people. But it was international, since it had contestants with different nationalities (Chinese, Russian, American, Japanese, Thai, Cuban, Ukrainian). You are mixing terms here.

Coz they only have one free time slot for it to air? They air it on tv, not on streaming platform. They can't…
That's extremely immature approach. Longer dramas have priority for 2 episodes per week slots for obvious reasons. This is also not a show that is predicted to give much profit to KBS2, so prioritizing it over other more profitable show would be ridiculous. You completely ignore how the industry works coz you want 2 episodes per week. And I have no idea where this care for fans comes from. Not giving a show 2 episodes per week does not mean they don't care. You said it yourself, that they put a lot of effort for promoting it, clearly shows they care enough.

I myself like the one episode per week format. Just because you don't like it, does not mean it's bad or that KBS2 does not care about viewers.

explain to me how they could air 2 episodes per week, when in a schedule they have ONE free time slot for it, and the rest is occupied by other shows? Don't you now how TV works? one show ends, another show starts, there is no adding more episodes when you have limited time.

Are dramas with less episodes worse? Why is it bad it only has 12 episode? For me, most dramas are too long and coz of that, are filled with useless subplots. It's better to have well constructed shorter drama, than stretch it to 16 episodes with poor writing and filler stories.
And again, they cannot air 2 eps per week. What time slot? Should they take down already airing shows for it to air twice a week?

I really dont get kbs! why they put so much effort in promotion the drama if they only have 12 ep and 1 ep in…
Coz they only have one free time slot for it to air? They air it on tv, not on streaming platform. They can't just put as many episodes per week as they want, coz they have a specific schedule to fit it into. It's not uncommon for 12 or less episodes dramas to air only one episode per week too (Dear My Room being another example).

Has anyone found confirmation of full debut lineup cancellation? Or are we still waiting? I'm confused because…
no official info. It's fair to assume they are trying to work it out behind the scene since the "rumored" top9 still have not been seen, while other trainees who left Dachang were active on social media and seen.
But no one knows where it leads and how it will end...

I like ranting, even about shows I love. And I like when people are critical about stuff they watch and not just say every show they watch is a masterpiece.
And it's not like I don't like all positive comments. Just the essay long ones trying to tell me how the show I disliked is amazing masterpiece and try to convince me how good it in fact is.

Well, positive comment about dramas I don't like annoy me. Does that mean people should stop writing positive comments? No. It means I should not read them if I know they annoy me.
Same way, if negative comment affect someone, THEY should stop reading them.

You're not the only one.
I do like some aspects of the show a lot, but after watching an episode I just feel exhausted lol

Negative comments do not affect me that strongly tbh. They are just a reminder that the show ain't perfect so I should not expect perfection.

I know myself. I easily hype myself up for a show and end up being disappointed. That's why I read negative comments to turn that hype down a bit.

So, thoughts on the first episode: it was not bad, but it was not great - with me dropping shows a lot lately, this is a win.

The best part was for sure showing some of the darker side of k-music industry, even if presented in a slightly messy way. But it is refreshing, since we don't see it often (one of the reason I laugh when people say shows like Produce Idol are cruel, as if they are any different than the daily life of this trainees. At least they gain fans in the shows and don't rot in a basement of their agencies).

Acting from the main cast was good-ish. It's truly hard to tell since we barely know anything about the characters. But nothing stood out in a negative way. I was actually surprised to see Park Yu Ri, since last time I saw him was in Produce Idol lol

There were some directing aspects I found questionable - 3 years time jump being one of them... This show is also for sure on a lower range of budget, it's worth knowing before starting it. The music for it is rather "generic" (tho rarely ever the shows about idols have truly good and memorable songs, so this is not that much of a problem). The award ceremony was a bit painful to watch, since it just looked unrealistic and cheap.

That said, I'm kind of curious about the plot, or rather the one side plot about Eun Jo and the girl that died. My theory: they were dating, she got pregnant, killed herself coz of all the pressure etc., Eun Jo could not handle this so he ran away.

At the same time, there are some aspects that I am careful about, and hope will not come true in next episodes. Like ML being the typical misunderstood cold lead who is not really cold, or a selfish SFL who will do everything to get the guy and for her career. We already have past connection, no way of fixing this cliche lol

Anyway, as long as they keep it up with the more realistic approach of the industry, it might be nice.

Your first sentence is simply not true. There are planty of shows I criticized on first episode, but ended up loving (The Victims' Game being an example of it). And I'm sure I am not the only one. Truth to be told, I have the opposite problem, when I try to find positive things is a show and hype myself up, I more often than not end up not liking later episodes.

Comment section is for both positive and negative opinions of the show. It's easy to see if someone did not like the episode just from the first line. If you cannot handle it, don't read the rest of the comment.

Why someone has to present anything in a positive way at first? As I said, I often read comments before starting the show, and I skip the positive ones, and look for the negative ones as a way to prepare myself for what's to come.

At the end of the day, if someone is so easily influenced that reading one negative comment might make them not watch a show, maybe they should not read comments before starting in the first place. Or at least not read the negative ones.

While I don't agree with everything Yian Ji said, they are not judging the whole show, they are judging the first episode, which they have the right to do, after watching it.
The immature are the ones who get offended over negative comment. Not everything has to be presented in a positive way, especially since there is no perfect show. I, for example, like to read "negative" comments coz they let me prepare for the show and manage my expectations.
You could simple not read the comment in the first place. It's obvious the OP did not like the episode from the first sentence, so if you could not handle them ranting about it, you could have stopped reading there.

Am I the only one who feels they just added way too much stuff to the plot?
It just feels oversaturated.

Wait i'm so confused right now, the debuting rumors were fake. I got that part but will there be no group at the…
What I gathered from iqiy statement: don't believe anything written on twitter or weibo, shit ain't real. Like, they literally said all the rumors are not true. So I guess we truly just have to wait for their official statement, that is more than just denying the rumors.

Damn, this is some whole new level of poor management tbh.

"Currently, the program group decided to terminate the program recording and cancel the finals. So far, the program group has not announced any news, and some group news on the Internet and the so-called "official Weibo" are false information.

"Youth with You 3" program group "

google translated info from ywy3 official weibo.
So it was just a rumor at the end.

RUMOR says the final episode was recorded and the debut lineup picked. IF this is the truth, I have massive problem with it (not with who is in the final line up, tho I am bugged by one member on it), but rather how it was handled.

We know for a fact that last few days of voting and the voting during the final can change the ranking quite a bit. The votes matter a lot. Fandoms literally have plans on how and when to vote to make it the most probable for their fav to debut. So if they filmed the final and picked the team as the rumor says, what was the criteria? How is this not doing the things behind fans back?

I have no problem with them recording final without audience and not making it live event, but they should give a specific date, open the voting again and give a deadline. Coz these votes can shape the whole final line up.

So yeah. I hope the rumor is just a rumor and not the truth, coz I am truly not a fan of dealing with the situation like that.
