Title Fireworks of My Heart Spoiler
Unfortunately, there are LOTS of deleted scenes in this drama 🥲, particularly those depicting the evolution…
In the book, she actually does make that mistake! But MYC didn't try to hold onto her either in the book. Rather, she was expecting SY, MYC was there instead and she just kind of blindly ran up to him and hugged him, quickly realized her mistake and let go, and then SY walked up from behind. If anything, it later led to a cute little moment of jealousy on SY's part as he chided her for mistaking him for her brother. Probably wouldn't have been bad if the drama had portrayed it that way, but since it didn't, I agree that it was better that the scene was cut.

I'm at episode 10 right now and I'm so confused about her character. Her hesitant character already annoys me…
In addition to what @Mcmr noted already, I also wanted to clarify that XQ got the job at the hospital on her own (she emphasizes that point to her mom later in the drama). But her mother does, as you've probably seen already, meddle in the background with her work at the hospital but this is something XQ would prefer her mother not do. Her mother's rather controlling. Still, like others have noted, these are the parents who gave her a home and raised her and so XQ feels a sense of gratitude. Culturally, there's also filial piety at play. And additionally, it should be noted that the FL's biological parents didn't leave her any better off (they died in a fire, but the book clarifies it was the mom who set the house on fire to kill them all because the parents were having marital problems). From that perspective it should be easier to see why the FL clings so hard to what she has and why stepping out on a limb can be hard for her.

Just read the description and some reviews, also watched a bit and i would really love for it to be like 'You…
I also loved You Are My Hero but apart from the similarity in professions of the main characters, I would not compare the two dramas at all. It’s like apple and oranges, so if you’re looking for something similar to YAMH naturally you will be disappointed. YAMH was more slice of life, rom-com whereas FOMH is pure romance, drama, and way more emotional (angsty). Personally, I like both types of dramas so I have really enjoyed FOMH. It depends on what you want/are looking for.

Why this short web dramas are more showy and explicit than other cdramas? I even wonder if they passed the censorships.…
As the other person mentioned, dramas that air on television are subject to stricter scrutiny when they go through the approval process. Also, I think I've read before that short web dramas have a less stringent approval/review process than regular-length dramas (although I think I've also read that may be changing).

She was also actually at the police station in the book. In the drama the girls only talked back at the dorms and she claimed to be equally duped and ZM believed her. I’m not so sure.

I suspect that's a censorship thing as this is the second Cdrama I've watched this year, based on a book, and…
I already identified the other drama I was talking about - Road Home. And I think it's pretty clear that books in China are regulated differently than dramas/movies,. All you have to do is consider the number of BL, time travel, reincarnation-themed books that then have to be modified when adapted into a drama. Just approaching this logically.

This drama feels like its going a little soft on the parents, to be honest they are just the regular lakhorn rich…
I suspect that's a censorship thing as this is the second Cdrama I've watched this year, based on a book, and each time there were awful parents who stayed awful in the book, but they were "redeemed" by the end of the drama. At least this one wasn't soooo abrupt as the other one.

To add to that she was also responsible for Zhai Miao's scam incident and even SY cautioned his cousin about doing business dealings with Yezi and told her to not be so trusting.

Personally, I'm assuming she did, but I wanted to allow for the possibility if others wanted to take a different interpretation. (Unless they did clarify and I missed it because I was watching initially without subs :-)).

The story is based on a novel they just followed it
I actually like the additions that the drama made with respect to Yezi's character as it provided more context and laid the groundwork for her accusation. In the novel, the accusation comes out of left field because, as you note, we only see her about 2 times prior to that incident. It's much more a plot device in the novel. And it serves the same purpose in the drama, obviously, but at least we got to see how these two arrived at this point and how MYC was able to use it to his advantage to bring his mother to heel.

As for MYC and Yezi deserving each other, I disagree. Yezi was never one with pure and altruistic purposes. She mostly liked what MYC would've been able to give her and though she felt led on, all MYC ever did was show her some kindness. And however she might have felt for him, MYC made it clear multiple times over that his only interest in Yezi was that he saw XQ in her (looks-wise) and didn't want to see such a person going down a crooked path. I wouldn't want to pair MYC with her just because she had feelings for him.

What MYC really needed was to free himself from the binds of his family/mother, and now that he's starting to do that, he will be a much happier person. This will also allow him to find his own true love whether that's with Yezi (if she reforms) or someone else -- sequel, anyone? Haha.

We know that at the very least she admitted to her part in tampering with SY's physical examination, as we also see the doctor being hauled away. Whether she also admitted to setting him up for provocation in order to get him kicked out of the military, we can only speculate as I don't recall them going into specifics of what she confessed to. But I also watched without subs and haven't rewatched with subs yet. . :-)

I almost have to admire Mama Meng, to be that unrepentant even after all that she has done is revealed,.....WOW…
Daddy Meng is easier to like more than Mama Meng because we can see he's a kinder person and seems to genuinely care about his children. BUT, in my opinion, that is where he is worse than Mama Meng because although he cares about his children and can see how they're suffering, he doesn't actually do anything about it. Instead, he either sides with his wife or doesn't do anything to stop her even though he actually knows she's out of control. And the reality is, Daddy Meng does that because turning a blind eye to her actions actually suits his purposes.

It can be argued that because Mama Meng lives in her delusional world, she is incapable of differentiating between right/wrong. But Daddy Meng certainly can and IMO that's the biggest problem. Rather than using his heart for good, he buries it out of self-interest and becomes Mama Meng's biggest enabler.

Talk about subverting expectations, I honestly didn't like the direction they took with Ye Zi.
The signs have been there all along that Yezi was not quite kosher (admittedly, that might have been a little easier for those who've read the novel to pick up). But this is the direction the novel also took her in, so it's not the drama suddenly taking her character in a different direction. The drama, compared to the novel, actually lays more groundwork for Yezi and what she ultimately does. (In the novel, her ultimate action comes out of nowhere - mostly because the author just didn't include much of Yezi.)

If it finished airing 2 days ago, how come I cant get 37-40 yet?
You can find the unsubbed versions of 37-40 on various non-legal sites, but if you're looking for subbed episodes they're being released according to the original schedule, so you'll get the remaining four eps on Wednesday and Thursday. The drama finished airing on Saturday when MangoTV offered an 'express package' type deal to domestic users -- people had to pay extra for those episodes (and then they were ripped and have been made available to others online).

I gotta know if suo jun comes back in the later episodes or anything. I miss him😭
SY will call Suo Jun at one point when the fire station wins their competition. He wants to share the trophy with Suo Jun.

My understanding is although she was released, the investigation is still pending. That is to say she doesn’t…
Yes, that’s what I assumed as well. (And to clarify for peeps, when I said it’s not part of my everyday vocab I meant in Mandarin, i.e, I have no need to use such terms in a foreign language! Lol.)
