just wasn't sure where you were looking. there was a post just the other day mocking the head screenwriter after he gave an interview and even the first posts in my xhs feed were not complimentary so I was less sure than you.

in the forums, not the review section. you can search the title in douban (I use the actual website, not the mobile app), click discussion rather than group and it will show you various posts from multiple groups, not only the ones in the dedicated drama forum. most of the posts on 8.01 were negative but then again, the forums are usually more negative in general.

yes it's official. there's a link to its douban page in my comment. scores can still change in weeks after it's opened so we'll see where it settles in like a month.

it was in the forums during that first day but the number of raters is not that high so maybe it was mostly the fans who left ratings or the haters didn't care enough to.

lol he got put on the hotsearch today because he was sniffling when he was livestreaming to his fans after hiking up a mountain and cnetz were mocking him for fake crying and adding drama~ to the huanyu scandal today.

meanwhile, fans who encountered him at the mountain said he was just picking up trash for recycling and feeding stray cats. it's so funny.

there are so many stories of chance encounters with him. one of the funniest was when he missed the last train after a concert and bumped into fans who let him use their car because he was in a hurry (whatever China's version of Uber is) then he tried to add the fan to wechat so he could pay her back but the fan was like nooooooo.

also, that one time paparazzi was following him to catch him with a girlfriend and instead caught him randomly playing in the snow lol.

maybe because he's usually the straight-faced guy among the jokers (more so in First Love than Delicacies Destiny) and he said he'll be cracking jokes here too (though the wrap up trailer doesn't show it at all lol)

I think the big ones do (Bai Lu, WJY, Xu Kai), not so sure about the supporting actors. but they all share the same publicity director.

they are both under Yu Zheng's management so yes, probably.

they had the same manager during The Double's airing period but I'm not so sure now. was the manager a tall middle aged guy with glasses?

maybe because it's about drug trafficking/enforcement they're just being cautious in case the censors/review period is long lol

haha I'd rather they not rush the editing but director Zhu Ruibin seems to be a fast worker. WXY also said they wrapped 2 weeks ahead of schedule because of him.

haven't watched all the videos but a fan on xhs transcribed his full speech and he roughly said (via google translate):

he was known as the guy who treated the crew the most, even when he was a supporting actor. and he donates to charity a lot too. he also recently gave gift bags of his endorsed products worth a total of at least 600,000 yuan during TWD's press conference last week. the boy is rich and generous.

there isn't a page yet, I was going to submit one but there hasn't been any official announcements (I'm not sure if MDL will accept melon accounts as a source.) it's a modern crime thriller. this isn't the official styling, it just seems like he's teasing the character. a melon owner said there were prison scenes so he'll likely be shaving off his hair (not sure if it means in flashbacks or throughout the show)

aww he just gave back 100,000 yuan to his fans to thank them for their support. he seems like such a good kid. a crew member also complimented him saying that he prefers to wait on set with them to save time (instead of hanging out in his trailer like actors usually do) which I also noticed in some of the reuters/bts of his other dramas. hopefully good karma will give him a long fruitful career and his haters can just wallow in their loserdom lol.

EDIT: he also apparently gave the crew 6 rounds of red envelopes during the wrap up dinner!
