From the preview, it seems like they’re turning him skipping the appointment into a funny moment. She’s going to be all cold and annoyed, and he’ll be running around trying to get her attention, probably embarrassing himself in the process.

But I’m sure he’ll be given some redemption arc, which isn’t really needed, but oh well.

I see a parallel between Ms Bom’s parents and him. Both first doubted their daughter’s/friend’s innocence. Her parents eventually realised they were wrong, but he’s been on his high horse for half his life over the ML. I remember his speech, all about “a best friend is always on your side,” which, funnily enough, seemed aimed only at getting Ms Bom’s attention, while he happily treats the ML as a criminal. 😂

They’re experts at exactly one thing and surprise, it’s not the law. It’s spinning stories, lying through their teeth, and charming their way into someone’s trust to get what they want. They seem to be the believers of “guilty until proven innocent.” Lol.

I guess his entire argument in the slander suit would be, ‘Are you doubting me too?’ with teary eyes. That’s literally what he said to Ms Bom and her mother, lol. The disconnect between him winning an absurd number of cases and the way he actually behaves feels like a plot hole to me.

I mean, even Ms Bom’s mother started wondering if he was actually a bad guy after just seeing him and hearing what people were saying. But him? Nope. He’s been calling me ‘that jerk’ from day one, without ever stopping to think he might be wrong, or that there could’ve been some extraordinary reason behind him supposedly running off with the money. But nah.

I really hope he doesn’t end up becoming Ms Bom’s lawyer in the case against the creepy parent and the slapping wife. But knowing how these shows go, they’ll probably give him some heroic arc in the end.

So the SML is going on and on about what he thinks happened in the fire without even directly asking the ML and clearing the air? I mean, if you’re going to make an accusation of that level, at least be sure about it, don’t base it on things you half saw or bits you heard here and there. Get clarity first, then tell others, especially with such conviction as if he saw things with his own eyes. And why is he saying that the ML ran away with “his” money? Didn’t he gift him the money already?

I really hope they clear this up quickly so we can see Ms Bom’s vindication in the last two episodes. And I really hope she doesn’t open that blue gift box during some random, out-of-nowhere “forced” breakup.

Damn, this SML really isn’t going down without stirring trouble, lol. Like… dude, take a back seat already.

Yep, misunderstandings get cleared up quickly, except for the one between the ML and the SML. Hope they resolve it soon, because the SML’s ‘holier than thou’ attitude towards the ML got to end.

I didn’t know that Candy was the daughter of Huawei’s founder. Damn, she really did a good job here!

As much as I remember, she wants the land so that she can have a resort build there. She’s expecting big money from it.

So much for his claim that he’d always be on her side. He goes ahead and spills all the details of her private life to her parents.

He told all that to Bom’s mom. Bom doesn’t even know he was sent by her parents. Honestly, even him being the mother’s spy is self-serving. She just asked him to find Bom, but he said he wouldn’t tell her as it wouldn’t be ‘in Bom’s best interests.’ Instead, he decided to go to Bom himself, report everything to the parents, and smooth things over so she’d come back.

There wasn’t any evil sister-in-law either. There was a crazy girl (the ML’s mentor’s daughter), but she barely had any screen time and didn’t really affect the relationship at all. Man, I loved the webtoon and was waiting for the adaptation for so long.

She is the restaurant owner. I don’t exactly remember the episode.

HG really should’ve told his uncle that he’d found everything and asked him not to sign any papers giving his mum the property. Was I the only one low-key stressed that JG might actually sign them just because she kept her promise and said the words JG asked her to say to HG?

Yes, that, and their names. If this drama had a different title and different character names, I wouldn’t be able to recognise that it is an adaptation of the webtoon.

Surely it would’ve been better that way. I guess they wanted to add more comedy, but instead of making me giggle, it just left me frustrated. And there wasn’t even an evil sister-in-law in the webtoon. The relationship there moved along pretty organically.
