There are so many characters right now, both on the hero side and villain side. From the previews it looks like we're getting a switchover protagonist and a new antagonist. There's been a new villain/fighter almost every episode, from Hyeonwoo to Gyujin "oppa" to scout ahjusshi, that weird dude with the long hair, and now this dude straight outta Mortal Kombat. Meanwhile Team Rocket hasn't even been touched yet (okay maybe punched once) and no studying was done neither. We have Geonyeop's story left too, though idk if they'll expand much on it he just materialises, does his Master Lee thing then adios muchachos. With just 4 episodes left I'm not sure how they'll cover so much or what plot they'll focus most on - defeating the baddies or ranking high in school. The director and writer said they wrote and filmed it conclusively and not intentionally open ended, so let's see!
can someone tell me what is the deal with Han Ul..his father is a crime boss cum business man? He has to take…
We will see soon if he’s for or against his family’s ways soon. Right now there’s just theories or initial reactions to the character. Spoiler in a comment below.
ML’s teacher is a MC in another WEBTOON, same universe. I heard they were doing a live action of that but not…
This makes sense, thanks! Another drama from this universe is coming up (Lee Hyeri’s drama) so maybe they’re going to expand it like Kang Full is doing.
Great so far. There are some things that bother me, but it doesn't take away the huge entertainment factor that…
I actually like that they didn’t have too much focus or screentime despite being their fan because sometimes support characters overtake the main ones and everyone wishes they were the mains. Study Group babies are holding their own and are carrying the drama and that’s how it should be IMO. That’s what makes this show different for me. I love antagonists more because protagonists are often drab but dramas like AoS and Study Group did well putting the mains front and center.
Geonyeop and Hanwool are mainly catalyst characters who help they storyline progress. They are related to the previous teacher’s death, which makes it important for the squad to protect Teacher Lee because there’s already been a disastrous consequence once. Their stories also connect to the gang terrorizing people in the town and school, which largely affects all our characters. So tidbits about them are enough I personally feel.
Why these cheaters leads are shunned here but the same cheater plot in cloy was praised everywhere??? Isn't ML…
CLOY ML never slept with SFL. There was an assumed promise of marriage between their families but SFL knew ML wasn't into her like that. He always drew a line. Therefore when he dodged responsibility it wasn't as much of an a-hole move. In South Korea there's a concept of responsibility, meaning if you get physical with a woman you have to take responsibility and date/marry her. The big mistake WTSG made was having ML be physical with SFL right at the start.
LMH's Kim Tan was never shunned for "betraying" Rachel because he never showed interest or did anything with her. When he fell for Eunsang everyone supported it because he had always drawn a clear line with Rachel.
Lee Minho has more "starcast popularity and good-looking" than Hyun Bin IMO. Both of them have been known as pretty boys in their early days but Lee Minho still has his boyish looks and charm while Hyun Bin looks more mature now. Compare moviegoer numbers between Harbin and Omniscient Reader when it comes out.
I agree people shouldn't be ageist. However I will be honest, I like Son Yejin but respectfully she couldn't play Eve Kim. The role requires a commanding presence and Gong Hyojin did it best. Gong Hyojin did a noona drama with Kang Haneul and no one said a thing. It's just Lee Minho has a certain subset of fans who are... not the most sane or rational. Not all fans but there's definitely a subset of them.
at this point, Yun Ga Min needs to teach all of the study group members and teacher to protect themselves although…
One thing I wanted to watch in WHC1 was the two guys teaching each other their fighting styles and tricks. Gamin, Jiwoo and Gochujang can learn from each other and improve together! Maybe along with Geonyeop.
Usually I don't like this type of comic comedy in dramas. I absolutely love fighting dramas. However, the combination…
Cha Woomin is so cool, his fight scenes are great to watch. I’m glad we’re getting to see him more often! He is in three dramas running this February (Study Group, Melo Movie, Buried Hearts).
If you like Hwang Minhyun I highly recommend Alchemy of Souls, it’s such a good drama and he was adorable in it + also has a lot of sword fights!
How would that work if they’re the same age? The diaper and formula one
Cha Woomin (24) is listed as “Mubi’s childhood friend”. Usually childhood friends are put in dramas to compete with the ML for FL’s romantic attention. As a noona romance fan I am seated but if they’re meant to be the same age then it’s just a bit confusing because they visibly look years apart.

Meanwhile he is strong like his mom ♥️
I’m about to rewatch 😁
