My Theory: When Hanwool marked Gamin and Jiwoo with 4 stars, I got a feeling he’s picking vigilante-like kids who can beat his family’s gang. I could be completely wrong but the way the character is written/shown seems so unthreatening towards good people. He keeps telling people not to overdo things. Those people he crippled seemed liked candidates for his family’s gang. He’s not impressed by hardcore bullies and doesn’t take them in. He warns people not to mess with the system because he’s not the one controlling things, his family gives the lackeys the orders and he doesn’t have the power to stop them. The teacher’s death was probably caused by his family too. He’s a fan of getting justice for yourself if you are wronged, which is why he gave Hyeonwoo the knife. He wants to end the system for good by finding the best fighters who want the same thing.

The actor is too meek here, similar to Yeri as Baek Jenna in BitchxRich and Kwak Dongyeon’s Jang Hanseo in Vincenzo. I could be completely wrong but this is just how I think it’ll go based on observation. Otherwise things are too obvious, I don’t think they’ll go the basic route because we’ve had quite a few expectations subverted.

Technically rich kid is also a pawn, his family is the menace, they are gangsters and control the school etc. Everyone you see are their lackeys, bucket hat kid is a fan of that family so he wants to cause chaos and impress them/brag about being associated with them, everyone else just terrorises people to please the rich guy so they can get favours from him/his family later. A lot of the bullies just want to impress them so they take them in their gang. They don’t really have futures so it’s their future plan.

It has a different vibe compared to WHC1. WHC was darker and more pessimistic. Study Group is lighter and more hopeful. I find Study Group less anxiety-inducing.

Well it kind of was. The case and celeb were from 20 years ago when the little gen-z detectives were babies. Launch something interesting and viral like this and the little sleuths start scurrying around to find stuff out and solve this unsolved case. Please do, I think you’ll like them! Weak Hero Class 1, Night Has Come, and the movie Brave Citizen. They are all in this school violence genre. Although he had limited screentime in most except Night Has Come, he was great to watch in them!

He will also be in the upcoming shows Melo Movie (romcom genre, side character) and Buried Hearts (thriller genre, side character).

He played that one sweet character and has been beating people up in dramas ever since 😆

He doesn’t actually do anything, just establishes dominance and doesn’t really answer or give orders. The minions seem to be going about doing stuff on their own to maintain order and stay on his good side. I’m hopeful about his character. The gun boy though… that one’s probably a lost cause.

It’s pronounced like “phee” which means blood. It’s amusing to me the gangsters decided to have “blood” as their surname. How emo! Hanul means sky so his name is… Blood Sky… The webtoon writer seems so unserious 😆
