"Oh, it's my daughter's ex-boyfriend! Taesung-gun, last time you were at my house there was a fire, this time there's a water leak, how come you're always at my house when there's a disaster?"
Do you mean Cha Woomin? He slays these high school villain roles 🔥 Cha Woomin, Hong Minki and Park Yoonho are…
Yeah he looks innocent here to me too, in the dramas he played villains in he had this sparkly psycho look in his eye but he doesn’t have it here. I asked someone for a spoiler out of curiosity earlier haha
Handsome heroes, I do understand the reason for having handsome heroes but why are villains handsome too in kdramas?!…
Do you mean Cha Woomin? He slays these high school villain roles 🔥 Cha Woomin, Hong Minki and Park Yoonho are really great to watch as side characters, they’ve been in a few dramas/roles like these.
Something I’ve noticed, just yapping: Webtoon (and these days even non-adaptation drama) villains and second leads are often designed in a cool, K-pop aesthetic way to make them look rebellious so the makeup, hair, sometimes earrings add to the villain’s attractiveness. I’m loving the grey in CWM’s hair and Minhwan actor Baek Seohoo’s look+earrings!
Why there is no Korean drama airing currently, hope this one is good can't wait.
Are you into romcoms/romance dramas exclusively? If not, you can check out Study Group! But yeah not much to watch till this starts in the romcom category.
Need a spoiler from webtoon readers (with spoiler tag ofcourse): Is Pi Hanwool evil or is he misunderstood? Like he wants to compete fairly but his family gets rid of people so he succeeds or something of that sort?
I saw some reels. Is there a love angle between a student and a teacher? It wasn't clear tho
Those damn reels of the teacher and Lee Hyeon-Woo with romantic music as if he didn’t go break into her house to get her beaten up and killed a few moments later.
I don't really enjoy overly dark, bleak dramas about school bullying, I find them too emotionally exhausting, so I'm glad this has a lighter tone and has a lot of comedy. Some of my favourite comedy scenes from the first 4 episodes are below, feel free to add yours if it's not here!
- Gamin and Jun parallels of joining the school - Gamin accidentally fighting and knocking out that dude in the library - Heewon cursing for the first time - Those three over-exaggerating everything Gamin does - "Ahjussi you're too old to be doing this, aren't you ashamed?" NEVER HOLD BACK, JIWOO! - Gochujang and rice outfit with school flag to boot - "Everything's fine in this school, there's nothing wrong!" *object flies out of window*
it's a miracle they didn't bury his career after BL
Adding to this, these dramas with actors who have done KBLs (would like to add Choo Young-Woo from You Make Me Dance to your list) stream on OTT platforms like TVING and Netflix. It's usually young people who watch on OTT and they are, like you said, more open-minded, hence the lack of outright outrage and mind-losing.
