Well, perspectives and expectations can be different. I know how you must feel, yet i have a point that i want to mention. This drama is centered around first love and how lovers cannot move on easily. It's actually bitter and lame, but life is not always beautiful and bubbly. That's the reality of being lovers and the concept of love.
There are flaws and cringes in the drama; however, those who have felt the sorrow of breakups and love fully feel this despite the character underdevelopment in the drama. I watch this drama with a couple of friends who have been through sad relationships and we can relate every single episode to our real lives.
This is just my idea and i totally understand your point of view.

I watch it on Netflix so i don't know if Viki is subbing it or not, but i figured many simple slangs and words are translated in a confusing way, very wordy to be exact. I used to watch on Viki and their subbing teams are so good.

not passionate per se, i just love a good romantic drama :) Cdramas have so many kissing scenes and such. That's why i asked.

I love Sageuk dramas and i usually check the comments and ratings before watching a drama. I don't mind spoilers actually, yet this one made me curious, as there were many negatives comments on it. Some comments are a bit harsh though, but i think i will give this one a try :)

I dare say the writers did a good job writing this drama! This is amongst the few dramas that have a good character development, and the audience can fully understand the deep layers of their sorrows. Episode 14 was realistically emotional. Life is sad as we all know, one of the reasons i think this drama is relatable and genuine.
Last but not least, i think next week will unravel what we have been waiting to hear the most.
