Mainly watched it for the romance part, but the story was shallow and cringey! i couldn't even feel the romance, plus the kissing scenes felt empty :|

I agree with you on that. Western dramas address issues related to the western culture, and kdramas with their own culture. But i have seen many fans furious recently due to seeing scenes and stories a bit different than how kdramas used to be:))

It's a matter of different styles and choices :) I have friends who watch Kdramas just for the fact that they are mild, fluffy, emotional, and without explicit scenes. If we look back, we can see that Kdramas were built based on such themes since many years ago. I'm not complaining though, yet since 2021, i have seen dramas moving towards the western direction ( Nevertheless, thirty-Nine, and now FLW) More mature-themed and it's actually quite diverse.

Guess the hate is for the change in Kdramas recently! Not many are used to see elaborate scenes and stories such as these. Many say Kdramas are moving towards the western styles for tv shows.

Wow the rating dropped!! why? I don't like the ML per se, but he is doing ok i think. PMY is actually more mature and strong-willed here.
