I feel your pain. I really like the Leads and enjoyed PGY in Unexpected Falling and so wanted to watch him again. I've also seen a number of dramas with such wasted endings that it leaves a bitter taste in my memories. I realise that writers want to be clever and have unexpected twists to keep the audience in suspense but from what commenters are saying and you sound an intelligent group..... you've insulted our patience and intelligence if you use a very ANTIQUATED and OVERUSED trope of amnesia. Audiences are so over it.

Yes, I felt the same. There was so much NOT to like about it but I kept on watching for the Leads.

Right, I'm at Ep 30 and given these comments this will be the end of my viewing. There's an article on K dramas which have a good story/acting but hugely disappointing ending betraying the quality of the entire story e.g Reborn Rich, 25 21 etc. Maybe this could be an example of good C dramas with disappointing endings list.

Oh yes, I really thought Our Beloved Summer was brililant. It was more than a romance, it packed quite an emotional punch. Abandonment hits hard and is an awful long lasting trauma. Yes, its a journey to became better versions of yourself and not easier/ What I like about Choi Ung and Ah Yao (MY) is that they had a genuine almost naivety about them and their hearts reflected that. To be loved by someone in that way is very special. I'm still not confident that our ML PGY or FL has that quality.

I've seen a number of commenters on the lack of and poor communication skills of our Lead Couple. Shall I stir the pot and say perhaps the scriptwriters should have taken pointers off "You are my Glory" where Reba and YY demonstrated good communication skills....different story I know and different level of maturity. YY was able to reflect and change and he was an aerospace scientist....c'mon PGY you're a neuro surgeon you can do better! Thats said in jest.

You've made a good observation. It does mean he is able to be totally involved in a relationship/partnership. True this was a marriage that should never have happened. Never think you can change someone or deceive your own feelings. Gut instinct is what you listen to.

Yes, LONG LIVE Xie Zhi Yao and Xu Hong Du's love! I'm still giving this drama a go as I think we have to consider this was filmed in 2019 before the world changed in unexpected ways. Many people during this period have reflected on what they want out of life and how they want to live it. People have had space and time. Our ML and FL are playing out a script where they are in the routine and busyness of work life and trying to work out personal expectations across this. Thats my thoughts so far. This is a 'modern' romance in the real world ( though most patients are pretty lucky and seem to recover quickly..haha) without a fantasy element like some K drama romances or sophisticated budgets so imo, these two leads are just muddling through their needs and expectations of what they want in a relationship. Relationships change over time so lets see what happens.

Thank you. I am and its not too bad! I've watched a couple of LZ dramas ( sick of the twins theme...) but this one is a little bit different with the country bumpkin comes to town. Not too many toxic femaies so far. LZ is very popular with iqiyi.
