No, they are not. It is not possible to reshoot any scenes. The drama finished filming ages ago, and it is impossible to just call A-list actors and actresses back from their busy schedule to re-film on such short notice. As mentioned, the show is already broadcasting again as normal. What they did instead is cut and zoom into scenes (so it doesn't show cleavage). No reshooting done whatsoever.

They are NOT reshooting. The show is back on schedule today. They are most definitely NOT re-shooting scenes because that's just impossible to do. It is impossible to just tell A-list actors/actresses to come back to reshoot... and in 4 days? err no.
As for the reason, HunanTV quoted "technical difficulties", but here are the reasons that have been flying around:
1) "Scale is too high for television" - whether it's the cleavage or something about the story, who knows. Therefore, they have to recut the episodes to have the authority bureau "check" it again. But many people say that's BS because they already check the episodes BEFORE broadcast.
2) The show's ratings are quite high; therefore CCTV (Country-wide TV station in China) forced Hunan TV to pause broadcast to make way for the drama that premiered on Sunday, because they feel threat from their high ratings. (Many people believe this because corruption is definitely a thing in China)
3) Every channel has a limit on Ancient drama hours, and HunanTV has reached its limit already for the year; that's why they paused broadcast for the show. Their other ancient drama, Return of the Condor Heroes, also stopped broadcasting because of this. (This seems to be quite believable since they also stopped broadcast for their other drama)

That isn't confirmed news. There are many versions of what the reason was for pausing broadcast. And they're also NOT reshooting scenes for sure. The show is already resuming broadcast today.

This is a powerful historical story, that spans over many years; so making it that long is very necessary. If you're interested in the story and how Wu Zetian came to be, I'm sure you will like it because the curiosity of knowing how this story turns out will keep u going. I would recommend u try it now, because who wants to marathon 80 episodes o_o (although I've done more than that before hahaha). I never watch shows as it is airing, but since this one's so long, I started it right away. Plus there's 3 episodes a day, so that's a pretty good amount to watch everyday!

ya, I thought there would be! I wouldn't make any conclusions according to those tags, since they are just added by users. I see many romance tags on websites for Healer and many people label it as a romcom, so I sure hope there is romance!! :'(

I also agree that I'm very disappointed they didn't cast someone like Fukunaga in the show!!! But I suppose he would be REALLY hard to imitate and to find someone so crazy and fun like him. So might as well change it entirely so it doesn't seem like the actor is trying too hard haha
