No you're misunderstanding, Talay isn't pretending to be homophobic, they're using homophobic rhetoric and turning it AGAINST Architectofnonsence—the actual homophobe in this thread. Please read Architectofnonsence's comment, compare it to Talay's and realize Talay is using similar wording as a way to say "this is how stupid you look saying your homophobic nonsense."

I'm pretty sure they're being sarcastic and are essentially using Architectofnonsence's words against them, but changing it to "phobia of homophobes." One look at Talay's watch history (actually, just their profile in general) and it's very obvious they're not homophobic imo.

As an autistic person, the MC is autistic-coded to an almost offensive level so far, and it bothers me. I'm not trying to invalidate the people who can relate to him (I can, too, to some extent,) the way he's portrayed just feels off to me, I just can't quite place it.

And that is perfectly valid, but your experience is not the same as everyone else's, so for some people it absolutely can work. You're just not one of those people, and that's okay.

And that's fine. That's why communication is so important because if it doesn't work, it just doesn't, and it's way better for every party involved to just cut it off. Like I said, sexual attraction is not the same as a sex drive, there is no "default setting" of not wanting to have sex, that varies widely from person to person. If a potential partner not being sexually attracted to you is a dealbreaker for you, that's perfectly fine. You don't have to date an asexual person.

Some aces have a high libido and enjoy sex, so it definitely could work. Why would toys have to be involved? Asexual just means they experience little to no sexual attraction, it's not like they're sex-repulsed as a default. Sexual attraction =/= libido.

You're definitely right if the asexual person is sex-repulsed (not all aces are sex-repulsed), but even then, I do believe there are ways it can work (hypothetically speaking), but it requires a lot of communication and trust.

For me, I often feel like the bad person (even if that doesn't make sense) when I remind people, so I try not to do it too often, but it really bothers me seeing people just share those sites around like they're not technically illegal. Is it really too much to ask for it to be on the down-low?

Thank you for including an actual example! I used to use myasiantv for a while but that one also got killed off a few weeks ago. All the "replacement" sites don't offer the same library anymore and mainly has newer stuff from 2024-2025, and I feel like we are at risk of losing a lot of media because of this. I also saw some smartass on twitter share notepad screenshots of "substitutes for netflix" and who'd have guessed, all those sites got shut down lmfao.

The only way I am in any way against 🏴‍☠️ sites is when they steal fansubs.

What are you talking about? I think there is some misunderstanding here, because all I'm saying is that it would be best not to share 🏴‍☠️ sites so openly or you might risk it getting shut down. I'm not saying not to use it or that I want it taken down in the first place, quite the opposite, actually. Please misunderstand me correctly.

More exposure = more eyes on those websites = companies wanting to take legal action. Why do you think those kinds of websites keep getting taken down?

Sure, there will always be replacements, but the more recent ones I have seen, do not have the full library anymore.
