the character that tried to rape someone was your favourite?
It's not the gotcha you think it is when he himself said he was old, and he's here on mydramalist of all places, fighting with people likely around half his age. I see it happen time and time again, and frankly, ever since I learned that he was older than originally expected (from some other comments he's made, not in this thread,) I've found it quite embarrassing that he just somehow keeps finding himself in these situations. Surely he must have other better things to do than come on here and fight "fetuses".

I'm glad we can distinguish between BL and Queer/Gay/LGBTQ media. this is not a BL
Why is it not a BL though? BL isn't just one thing or the other. BL is whatever the creator wants BL to be. In my opinion, this does still qualify as a BL, and that is also what I have seen it categorized as on for example Viki.
Has the director specifically said it's not a BL, or are everyone reluctant to call it a BL because in their own minds they've made up what BL is?

I made a new comment where i listed several things that I personally have picked up on. I'd agree if it was just a couple of things, but I found at least 10.

I didn't say that. I said it COULD be. And it's not just "oh I like this thing I grew up with" which is what you seem to think I'm talking about, it's him obsessively reading it over and over again and preferring it over playing with other kids his age. That IS neurodivergent behavior. He's still the same in his current age where he's getting attached to certain books and reading them over and over as well.

I may not know much about tortoise husbandry, but even I can tell Diew's tortoise husbandry is absolutely terrible.…
I must have missed that while watching. I just thought/excpected they left the tortoise in his sad little main tank after they returned from the vets. I have to go back and rewatch that now, so I can be on the same page.

I may not know much about tortoise husbandry, but even I can tell Diew's tortoise husbandry is absolutely terrible. I do think using a smaller tank as a travel tank is pretty normal though, as I see it for other small animals as well, and if he didn't put him in the smaller tank, he wouldn't be able to bring him to the vets.

Doesn't change the fact that his main tank already is way too small, but also only has one small dry spot. Don't they need heating lamps for a basking area?

I know it likely wasn't their intention, but some of the replies to my previous comment about how I personally think Diew may be neurodivergent, felt a bit invalidating towards me as an autistic person who can recognize myself a bit in Diew. Because of that, I have decided to compile a list of signs that I personally have picked up on. Let me know if you have any questions or additions.

Signs Diew may (in my opinion) be neurodivergent:
- Wanting God to apologize in person despite not communicating this to God in any way, and when God was attempting to apologize through snacks and a post-it note on his door, he just kept returning it to God's door
- Constantly wearing the same clothes because it's what he feels comfortable in and he likely doesn't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable in other clothes, though it's never directly stated (this is also seen in characters such as Sangwoo from Semantic Error (though they flubbed it a bit in the live action) and Jiwoo from To My Star)
- Obsessively erasing the graffiti in the library. Game is clearly not that bothered by it, and I reckon most neurotypical people would not care about it to the extent of repeatedly erasing it. God and his friends see it as a game; Diew sees it as vandalism and wants to clean it up
- He's constantly seen wearing headphones. Alone this is a moot point and may just be because he likes listening to music, but coupled with everything else, you can assume it's also to help him when he gets overwhelmed in social situations
- His obsession with media (re-reading books), and especially children's media past a point where most neurotypical people would stop caring about it
- When Jenny(?) was pestering him about being her model, he was very blunt in the way he turned her down – to the point where it even became physical because she wasn't expecting him to turn her down so bluntly. She thought she was just helping him and being nice
- His own mother being ashamed over him because he's "not normal" being very much in denial about it and saying that her son is "normal." She would not have this strong of a reaction if Diew was only introverted imo
- Misinterpreting certain gestures as infantilization and not being able to communicate his feelings until way later
- Clearly having communication issues in general
- Obsessed with turtles, though I'd argue if he was a bit better written, he'd have way better tortoise husbandry

There is probably more, but this is what I can think of from the top of my head. You're absolutely allowed to disagree, but please don't do it in a way that invalidates other neurodivergent people's experiences.

Keep in mind this is my headcanon for a fictional character, he's not real. I wouldn't write all this if he was a real person because speculating on real people's diagnoses like that is weird, but Diew is. not. real.
Please don't police (especially) neurodivergent people for headcanoning certain fictional characters as neurodivergent.

Do I think he is intentionally written to be neurodivergent? Not necessarily (though the thing with his mom really made me rethink that,) but he was still intentionally written with at least some of these traits in mind.
This is something I see happening a lot, and is usually taken either from the author's own experiences or from someone close to them, without them really realizing there may be something more to it than just "being quirky."

Alright that's all, I hope you all have a good day.

They may still be close in proximity, but Wang is still distancing himself from Tian and calling him "brother." That is why Tian is upset about it.

Viki: When do you transfer to another class?
Gaga: When are you switching classrooms?
iQIYI: When will you change classrooms?

I even went and translated the chinese and you'll never guess what it said:

什么时候换教室
When to change classrooms?

I watched on both Gaga and Viki, and both specified Wang transferring to another class.

He is a fictional character. Headcanoning fictional characters as neurodivergent is 100% okay. I'd agree with you if he was a real person, but he's not, so I will headcanon him as neurodivergent.

Being neurodivergent doesn't mean you're not aware of social cues at all. Sure, some of us aren't, but there are definitely some people that are.

He was being bullied because he got attached to a kid's book, and being attached to "children's media" like that can absolutely be a neurodivergent trait. (Notice how I said "can," because it varies a lot from person to person.)

Even though you don't see those traits, doesn't mean others can't.

No? This is just not what happened at all. He moved CLASSROOMS at noon after lunch. Tian asks him when he moves, Wang looks at him confused for a second and Tian clarifies that he meant Wang transferring to class B.

Also how could he move out of the dorm room at noon when they were still at school???

Have you made up this extra part that makes no sense only for you to complain about it?? When did they ever specify moving dorm rooms😭
I thought you hated when people "made up" things that didn't happen, but here you are literally doing it yourself💀

Anyone else think that Diew is definitely neurodivergent? Possibly on the spectrum?
I mostly see people just saying he's introverted, but I don't think that's all. I have gotten strong neurodivergent vibes from him since the first episode, and the last few episodes where people have considered him as "not normal" is really what solidified it for me.

As someone on the spectrum myself, I really do recognize myself a bit in Diew.

Nah, I'll still be here waiting for a potential season 2. I still liked the show and a cliffhanger ending is not gonna change that for me.

Title The On1y One Spoiler
I'm sorry but Tian getting grazed by a cigarette once when he was a child would not look like that however many years later it has been. It would be way more faded – if it even left a lasting mark in the first place.

Source: I got burned by metal once like 10+ years ago and you can barely see the scar anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I love this show and this doesn't really affect the way I view it, I just find it kind of funny how downright unrealistic it is.
That being said, I do understand why it's written that way, and how that incident obviously had a massive impact on Tian.
