Title Nevertheless, Spoiler
the ending was a portrayal of how we make bad decisions. A lot of us have made decisions like Nabi did. I liked…
THISSSS! Is really blowing my mind how most people here saw it as a glorification of toxic relationships. For me when she said "i know i will regret this later on but i still want to do this nevertheless" shows how much she knows this will end up blowind in her face later on. Also the convo she had with potato boy "i know PJE will never make me happy and it wont last, but i think i like him" and like you said, the final touch was when she was supposedly confident in dating him and almost takes her hand out while seeing potato boy as if she is kinda ashamed of her decision, and no matter what she doesn't want to let potato boy down. The regret feelings are already starting.
But for now, she is like this.

This is a slice of life kdrama. We only saw a little bit of her life. The ending does not mean they most likely ended up getting married and had kids xD like... it's a chapter of ones life.

Are they enjoying their lives? Sorry, all I see is a manipulative boyfriend taking advantage of Na Bi's naive…
that's fine. it's just that we don't even know the op's age.
for a safe community we should try our best to not go overboard.

i didn't see it as a happy ending for toxic relationships. it's interesting how we all have different takes. when nabi said "i know i will regret this later on but i still wanna do this, nevertheless" was the time i accepted her choice. she knows she chose wrong, but it's her journey.

i saw it happen so many times to my friends. they had a toxic relationship they couldn't look away from and then the time to break up came. now they are happy with other people that respect them. it's a chapter. i didn't finish this kdrama thinking "what a beautiful happy ending :D man like him really do change hehe~ i shall go ahead and also believe in manipulative man like him" but rather "girl- enjoy that... it will end soon enough. but well, you know that too, don't you? until you get tired of it, go ahead. hope you find someone better in the "end".". In my head he is not her end, even if this is the end of the show for us. it's merely her present. a fraction of her life on screen. i wouldn't make the same decisions as her and if i was her friend i would talk to her once about it. and then when she needs me, i will be there to help her get back to her feet.

although i understand the desire of everyone to see her take a different choice at the end, i chose to see this kdrama like this. Like a "slice of life" kdrama.

If you were expecting this drama to give a moral lesson, this isn't for you, especially the ending. But if you…
I didn't see the ending as: great they end up together like nothing happened... great message to the people watching.... *mad*
I saw it like the way she delivered one of her last lines: "i will probably regret this a lot in the future, but i want to do this.". it's a conscious choice.

i have a friend that it's "dating" this pilot dude for 10 years... everytime he lands here she goes to him. they have the time of their life but then he has to leave. She knows he has other women in other countries. He is honest about it. From her side, she is happy being single almost all the time (she is a free spirit that needs time for herself) and likes having those days with him during the year. She is in a very peculiar way, very much in love with him.
I tell myself everytime i see her "i would NEVER!" but i both don't have her personality nor i have the same way of seeing life. I talked to her once. how i wished more for her, cause i love her so much as a friend, but she said "hey-its ok, i know he will never be mine, but this is how i am choosing to live my life. i am not an innocent woman being played. i am very well aware of my situation. and until i put an end to it, i will do whatever i want". ever since then, i respect her decision. it's her life. not mine. i dont get to judge her.

we all have different opinions while watching a show. you are being very disrespectful rn. the words you are using to support your argument are out of line.

Well, I see many pissed people, but I really liked the ending. They're young, enjoying their life, they don't…
my thing is... i don't have to relate to characters in order to like a kdrama. i would make the opposite choices that Nabi did. But once i noticed that she herself knew what she was doing, (yes he is manipulative, but she knew she was being played) and this was very much a conscious journey for her, then i stopped blaming her for taking the "wrong choices". it's her life. if i was her friend i would talk to her once. only once. because in the end is not my life... if it blows on her face, she can always move on. if it goes well, it goes well.
She will only ever move on from him (if it ends badly) after doing what she wanted the most. Dating him. Only after that, she will be able to close that door if she needs to.

i like the fact this show could have a S02, and within that new season a new a totally unexpected result could come up from it. Because i am still so curious to know if PJE really had an honest character devolpment or if he will end up like before after a few months. Simultaneosly the reaction Nabi had in the end while seeing potato boy indicates both guilt and perhaps a slight change within her. With enough time, who knows? Now that she will scratch the desire of being with PJE, what will happen to her feelings?! With enough good arguments and writing this could get a S02. Sometimes i wished S02 came easier for korean productions. i am still very interested in all characters and side stories.

if this show was western, you bet. But i don't think they will keep it up for another full season. That's a lot…
to be quicker. you can make the last Ga On move be all planned out from the start and this was their big plan to catch all the bad guys. this way is quicker. if you truly make Ga On be in another team after a whole season, then yes, it will be rushed and we will be quite disapointed.

The more I am watching this drama the more I am thinking that this show just might not have an end this season.…
if this show was western, you bet. But i don't think they will keep it up for another full season. That's a lot of budget. this show is HIGH budget. Just to pay these actors per episode is insane. the writers would have to convince A LOT of people to make it happen. Shows that often get a second season in asia were already planned to be like that. Not very common to have an unplanned S02.

i agree with you. Some people are siding with different characters, and that's fine. But others sound a bit crazy.…
I can only get immediatly behind it if we are indeed talking about a world that does not operate the way ours work. Cause the whole "dexter" that kills only serial killers, therefore he is cleaning the world and doing good to humanity, for me is bs. Killing a murderer makes you just as bad in my opinion. No one gets to play god. Ofc in fiction is a little different. But since i can never trust Yohan completely since we have to rely on the writers... the writers could literally go back to every decision making moment and show how Yohan manipulated this whole thing (i dont really believe he is 100% evil) but it's all a matter of what the writer wants to do with it. Make him have a plot twist to be the mastermind of this whole show, fulling everyone at the audience, or make the Ga On move be an orchestrated move. In western shows is more often the first, in eastern shows they like the second better.

I am often more fascinated about the script and character devolpment aspect of a show. Prasing or not prasing the writer, and the directors for their work, than actually seeing the characters as possible real life people. Cause it all comes down to what the writer wants to do with each character. And i am rather fascinated in knowing how he will use his created universe to tell a convincing story.

what a refreshing comment ahahaha i had the same question. like "yoo you are cute but you are clearly out of danger now... go home my boy" xD

It's been a long time since I saw such a different interpretation among viewers as in this drama. In Korea, people…
i agree with you. Some people are siding with different characters, and that's fine. But others sound a bit crazy. Every week i come here to read some reactions and i've read a lot of comments like "i wished Soo Hyun would just die or smt... she is useless" or "Ga On better not say anything to Yohan, or else- like he is so stupid... couldn't be me.". It's actually quite scary to be here week after week.

I also struggle every week to believe Yohan is a good character (he is an anti-hero afterall). I keep thinking how he could be lying since episode 1, tricking even us, the audience. That is a common troop in western shows, even though i am not seeing a kdrama do the same, since Jisung is a beloved actor and they always want to end kdramas on a brighter note for important actors. That's why i always think "ok he is insane but he must have a greater plan... let's wait", but if it was me standing there watching and participating? i don't trust my own friends lol like when it's a matter of life and death it's everyone for himself. I wouldn't trust Yohan at all. I am sure they will wrap everything nicely, and i am looking forward to the writers final plot twist, but yeah. The automatic "obviously yohan is to be trusted" is sending me lol like why? how? this show was made and it's being written like this precisely so you don't know who to support and trust on every ep. It's like we are the general public voting for who is the real bad guy.

Brillant storytelling.

So a drunk Jae Eon went on his jealous rant because he’s losing Nabi to Do Hyeok. He asked Nabi if Do Hyeok…
exactly what i feel while watching. their pace is now completely different. it does not help that Jaeon just said a lot of things he actually didn't mean at that last part. Cause what he said was just horrible.
Like you can tell he really has no idea what to do with his feelings, he also doesn't know how to be sincere and vulnerable, and it's just too late for Nabi to have the patience to understand him and keep up with this transition. She had enough. He is definitely too late.

Kinda think he will let his butterflies out next week and lose his "pets" as a way to show he is not the same person anymore and he is ready to move on from his vicious cicles. let's see-
OR he just goes back to that bar and picks another girl and dismisses the early transition he is making rn.
I am super interested in knowing how it will go for him.

Yes, Nabi and Jae Eon had chemistry, but what's the point if it's not sincere. The minute Jae Eon told Nabi they…
PJE just realized smt about himself way too late. Even prior to the last part of the ep, Nabi couldn't trust him anymore. That's when i knew this was completely over. No matter what PJE does now, even if he went 100% honest and didn't went completly overboard and saying a lot of things he probably doesn't mean, she wouldn't believe him.

Their dating pace is different. Like people always say, dating is about timming. Even if he sincerely likes her now, he is not letting himself be honest. They rather go around the bush when they are together than being honest with each other. Both of them. Nabi also never expressed her feelings with actual words. Like "i am in love with you, you know that. from this point on i can only keep this if you feel the same way about me. do you? if not i will have to let you go.". she just sulks and expects him to talk for her.

And with potato boy she is a different person. She automatically tells she is not feeling well, and she is honest with him: "i dont think i can date anymore rn..." instead of just rejecting him without any explanation. she actually explained her feelings well and was considerate. PJE and Nabi had great chemistry and in a parallel universe where they both trust each other and rely on each other without any reservations, they would be happy. But that window is closed.

But i completely disagree with everyone in the comments here saying how this show is boring and has bad writing... like this is the real world right here. Love is not everything. Not at all. If you can't trust someone then it's meant to break. I am loving this show a lot. And i look forward to not see them together. Wished Nabi would stay single but i know that probably won't happen. But i am here for the finale. I loved the way this was portrait.

Another brillant thing this writer does it's setting "premonition lines". You hear K talk about how if you keep this lifestyle with Yo Han you will end up losing everything, even yourself. Not only did that speech got immediatly shown as a reflection of Ga On leaving the house (cause he did not recognize himself anymore and got scared), it came for K himself by the end of the ep.

Also people need to understand that this separation between the male leads had to happen at some point, and she…
i am very sad to hear that. i've seen a few of her previous works as an actress and she always delivers. breaks my heart to know people confuse reality with fiction. i hope she is okay <3

her character is really important in order to keep Ga On in check, or else he would be going mad with no return. We need Ga On to be the less crazy one out of the anti-hero duo, in order for it to work. i wished people realized that.

they be angry but if you actually take a few of these "annoying" characters off the show, the show would become bland and predicable... like, everything going according to the plan... everyone "good" smiling in the end, no one "good" get's hurt and it's a happy ending. puppies and all lol

I feel like what Ga On did in ep. 11 was really out of character. Any person practicing law would know not to…
yes. i took it as he was THAT desperate for the truth. she was someone involved in the big picture that led his parents to kill themselves. he was so out of it that completely lost his mind. that's why he had to leave. all of a sudden he didn't recognize himself. like K said "if you keep this up, you will lose everything even yourself". this whole event plus his girl reaction led him to his (temporary departure) decision. it's a really well executed character development in the making, in my opinion.
