ksksk i am getting impatient xkdkd obviously the story can only go on in this format but i don't see it as a big reason anymore xD feels like an excuse at this point.

Kim Min Jung antagonists are always something else. Only her can make us hate/love her characters at same time.…
Only proves how perfectly she is playing her character. i love that she annoys me. if by comparison you look to the politician men and the minister of justice lady, they are 1 dimentional bad guys. You as an audience, will never take their side ever. But Sun Ah makes us curious. Not on the same boat as the other low class politicians.
This is brillant storytelling and acting.

Also since Yo Han is not an hero but an anti-hero, she is the perfect opponent for someone like him. In the middle of the madness you have the character that should be more close to us as an audience, the moral compass, Ga On. And every charater plays a big role by influenting us to take one side or the other. This show wouldnt be as brillantly written and presented if one of these characters were different.

I think that Yo Han is supposed to be something to be a dark hero similar to vincenzo like the evil destroying…
Sun Ha and Yo Han are not that different in paper. What is super interesting about the way the writers are playing with these characters is that in the middle of 2 crazy characters you are bound to chose a side even though both are "dirty".

Sun Han has a dark past and the Foundation old dude probably molested her (i got that narritive vibe from the last speech) but we can't really take her side, because the actress is playing her role to be annoying (to perfection). But we take Yo Han's side with an eye closed. The only times we are kinda like "uff this is not cool" regarding Yo Han is when Ga On serves as a moral compass of the show. And it's because of him being like he is, that we get to question Yo Han's intentions and form a positive opinion about him. Yo Han is an anti-hero.

Every character played to perfection. And we as an audience will keep struggling with some of these charaters until the end, either for being too righteous or too crazy.

For the politics dudes we were never and we will never be on their side. They are 1 dimentional bad guys (also playing their characters precisely in that light).

In a writer/director perspective, this is brillant.
Perfect work from everyone involved in this project.

I don't understand the hate Ga On is getting as a character. He is the moral compass of the show. If the writers would only create crazy characters we wouldn't have half of the moral dilemmas we have while watching the show. If you are feeling like taking Yo Han side rn is because Ga On is giving you the opportunity of doing so by the way he acts. If Ga On was the type of character that would not question anything, Yo Han would never be challenged and would look a bit like a psycho without a reason. The show works because all characters have a very distinct role while interacting with each other.

SUN AH annoys me profoundly, but i love that she does.

Some villans are like a filler to a story that from ep 1 you already know how it will end. You are never really curious about the villans side of the story... they are created for you to hate on and in comparison you start to appreciate the hero because of it. They are often 1 dimentional.

But Sun Ah actually creates great plots and narratives. She is super annoying and you can't really take her side, but you are also not 100% against her as you are with the other stupid politics men, or even the minister of justice lady. For me this actress KMJ is making me put her character in the middle. Not absolute trash because she has a dark past and just ended a child molester by her own hands, but also not good cause she is all about money and saving her own skin.

In the middle, is where a character like her should stay at ep7 out of 16. Further into the kdrama i am sure we will all pick a definitive side for her, but until then she is kinda of on a grey area. Contrary to the minister lady that i know already she is absolute trash and couldn't care less for her as a character (also perfectly acted by the actress). I think KMJ is playing her character to perfection precisely cause she bothers me in this way.

Also in contrast with the anti-hero Yo Han, she is the perfect opponent.
One is kinda grey but we are not exactly on her side, and another is also playing super dirty but we tend to take his side more often. Both have moraly questionable actions, so it's amazing to catch yourself pick a side within the "dirt". It's such a well written, directed and casted kdrama... it's actually crazy. I am often having moral dilemmas. Love it.

The only thing i don't understand is what is Ga On still doing at the Yo Han's place? Like,,, go back to your humble home my dude. By this logic even the female judge would be in great danger and i don't see her sleeping there.

I think what Yo Han does with Gaon is similar to what Hannibal did with Will. Yo Han must actually show Gaon the…
what a perfect comparison.

Some people are watching this kdrama for the wrong reasons. As with anything in life there's always a bit of romance, but the focus of this kdrama is everything but romance. Just read the Genre of the kdrama again. If you came here for romance, you'll probably not going to find it. At least not in the "i love you so much let me put my wedding dress for you" typical way of presenting it. At best when there's no other way to take Sun Ah out, Yo Han can pretend to be interested in her and even sleep with her, but the romance will not be there. They are all playing games afterall.

As for Ga On, honestly... idk how far will Soo Hyun last. Idk, there's just no say with this kdrama. She is a main character so i am assuming that she will last until the end but i don't see moments of true cuteness happening anytime soon. Unless she almost dies again and there's that desperation romantic troop. But that would be used as a relief from the drama. Some kdramas use comedy for the relief, this one might use Ga On and Soo Hyun for a break from all this madness. But the romance itself it's not the focus. It's a slight bonus, at best.

Title Sweet & Sour Spoiler
From the trailer alone i could understood the whole plot twist. i hate trailers so much...
but with that being said... i dont feel good about the ending. it lacked meaning.

i think the FL (nurse) is not really happy with her new boyfriend, and the ML is not at all that sorry he lost her either. Both of them just needed someone. Anyone. Anyone that had time for them.
Didn't matter who. The nurse repeated everything she did with the ML with her new bf just to end up miserable. Same habits, same gifts, same way of falling in love in the hospital... that's a massive red flag if you ask me. And seriously sad. Assuming they were on a break for awhile, then both of them slept around during that time, but the movie kinda makes it seem as if the male lead has more to blame than the female lead, when they equaly had other partners in between.

the plot would make a lot more sense if at least one of them had a true happy ending with a "i am over you" moment. the way the FL was not that happy in the moment of the plane departure, and how desperate the ML was to just be with any of the girls tell me not a single person had a good ending.
and that's life!! but also... what's the message of the movie then? that life is hard when work gets in the way? well yeah. we all know that. what's the real message here? Am i supposed to side or relate to whom?

This show has been an amazing experience for me. Will be looking forward to know what version of the story will end up being the truth. Either way, the writers know what they are doing. Massive respect. This is how you write a script.

Everyone already shipping Nabi with the second lead, meanwhile i just want her to stay single. She needs to work on herself first. Cause this always happens... using the good guys to clean yourself up. And then because they are the good guys, they let you go with a supportive smile on their face. As if you didn't just destroy them. Her problems and insecurities will just tranfer from guy to guy.
Replying to Nonxthefeminist Jul 11, 2021
Park Jaeon clearly has past traumas that he hasn’t dealt with :/ Nabi should know better especially bc of her…
i would say both have some serious issues. nabi is probably mirroring her mother. as awful as it sounds, we tend to follow patterns like this. it seems her mom forgets about nabi everytime she has a new man, and then nabi has a monologue where she explains how after getting herself a boyfriend she did the same to her friends.

we are all messed up, i will not judge her for that. park jaeon should work on his traumas, as i also think he has a story regarding his mother. and nabi should stay single until she learns how to respect herself first.

I don’t know ,, until now I thought Nabi was also equally responsible to get close to JaeEon ….but watching…
i would side with her 100% if she didn't had monologues where she informs us that she is well aware of her own situation. the title of ep4 it's even "it's not love but nevertheless,". He can be on the manipulative side, i won't argue with that, but she is not as gullible as everyone thinks she is. She is well aware of her own situation. I would classify this as a toxic relationship you can't look away from because "it's not as bad as the previous one.".

Honestly I think he’s too good for Nabi. I also don’t think she’s ready to be with someone like Dohyeok
True that. Good guys keep getting used by confused people that are not ready for them but know they are better than others. she should be single for awhile.
