2. Gong Zhi's mother ruled over Gua Hua City also because of Li Ke Yong. She is the former Magnate of Gui Hua before Cha Luo.

However, it appeared to be based on a modified version.
The actual opening song in the drama should end with: 为和你屋檐下 听一场雨
Which appeared to be translated as the line:
'Because I want to stand with you under the eaves and listen to a rainstorm' in above.

A more precise translation capturing the atmosphere of the original text would be:
'For I yearn to be you, listening to sound of rain falling,
under the same roof.'

Some of those dramas were highly anticipated and thus much higher initial viewership. As for BR, because the source novel was so controversial, there is hardly any promotion until last moment.
I am a Li Yi Tong fan and I have NO idea what to expect and dare not promote until I watch the first episode.
BR is also more a 'cerebral' type of drama and this maybe just one more thing to turn away some viewers.

1. The servant is a descendant of Princess Taiping, the daughter of Empress Wu. The Empress established a female black-ops force more than 200 years ago which became the early version of the Gui Hai assassins. This ties everything back to Episode 1.
2. The late Empress created an object which was meant for Princess Taiping. If she had opened it, she would have been the next Empress Reagant. If the servant retrieved it he has a mandate to use what's inside.
3. He was told in EP13 that his mistress was captured but before he can go for a rescue, he was drugged.

Are you referring to the total episode views? With 550 million views after only 9 episodes released (for non-VIP) in 2 weeks, its a decent figure for a modest budget drama with no big names.
For comparison, https://kisskh.at/19556-the-legend-of-the-condor-heroes, also starring Li Yi Tong, released on Jan 9th 2017 broke 500 million views on Jan 23th.

If you are referring to what the old woman gave to Wan Mei then it is just some watery rice congee which the old lady added some shredded mushrooms.

The reason to Wan Mei nausea reaction after eating is a different spoiler. If you recall, she had a similar but less severe reaction while she is in the slave gang.

The congee should be harmless, but noticed that pauper woman later ate from the same bowl. This gave us a hint to explain what might happened at end of Episode 15.

A beautiful thing about this drama is right from first episode we are show that certain events don't happened suddenly but resulted from some planned actions or unresolved consequences that happened in earlier episodes or flashback animations.

Based for what was revealed after 15 episodes, I would said Gongzi is significantly influenced by his parents ;)
Wan Mei is currently at the worst existential crisis since Episode and physically even worse off, but she still have some action points.
Every major characters in the drama has withheld some vital information from others which only viewers are aware of. For example, Wan Mei didn't realize she possesses a very big leverage she can use against Gongzi.

So far this series has been very self-consistent with its fictional world, but even some viewers who have watched Wuxia genre before may be puzzled by some of the 'force of nature' elements and skills shown in the series.
The skill taxonomy many viewers might find unfamiliar is probably 'Gu' - of which many types were used or described by characters in the show.

Another type deals with the fungi kingdom - bonded to those special umbrellas is a form of cultured vampiric fungus.
A parasitic type of Gu can formed a symbiosis with the host, converting the host to a zombie.
No all Gu organism are harmful, just like in our world we can get life saving medicine like penicillin from fungi, Wan Mei is shown acquiring a few beneficial Gu.
Beside Gu, a number of other fantastic Wuxia skills can be found in Blood Romance's world but unlike Xianxia worlds there's no divine magic or talismans.
