i dont think anyone is hating, i think people are just giving their opinion. and i agree with you when it comes…
e. putting this as a spoiler just because it’s a bit long! hehe
To be fair, acting is Dunk’s job and his job stability ultimately relies on viewers. With things like acting, singing, performing, etc. it is impossible for the viewers to be passive because it impacts the overall work whether it’s a tv show, a song, a stage or whatever else. Dunk isn’t the best at acting. Hopefully he continues to put in work and improve. There is nothing wrong with saying that. In most jobs, if you don’t perform to the standard, usually you will be given additional training. I think it’s fair to say Dunk requires more training/experience.
If people find that an actor’s acting isn’t very good and it disrupts their immersion into the film or decreases the enjoyment of watching, naturally they will say something. 99% of the comments here that are criticising Dunk’s acting aren’t actually rude at all—and actually there are even many comments saying he is doing better than expected/better than he has done before.
Another way to look at it is that acting is an art; there is almost nothing in this world more subjective than art BUT there are still principles and techniques that do tend to—objectively—improve the standard of the art. This is the same in painting, the same in acting, the same in singing. It doesn’t mean you ALWAYS have to follow the “rules” but if you do, overall, your art will tend to be more hit than miss.
honestly as i was watching the ep 1 YT premier i was thinking… how uncut could the uncut version really be? like, it was already pretty daring (for a thai drama being released on YT) LOL so it makes sense that the first episode might not have any differences
i believe officially it has been said that the uncut version will be on iQIYI though so perhaps later episodes require YT censorship? we will see~
Fadel is out here side-eyeing Style like "Wow texting and driving? So irresponsible," while bro's main source…
also to Bison he’s like “mother taught us to only kill bad people” and then in that one scene where Style is annoying him he’s holding a knife like he wants to shut Style up… for good 🫣 sir, please, this is a Heart Burger
idk, do we know what the character age difference is? but honestly, i feel like often people who are younger can…
i know you weren’t but if there’s only a ~1 year age gap between them, it would make sense if joong doesn’t necessarily look older. but in ep 1 bison said they had the same dad/different mums so it could even be that they’re closer in age than that. did you also watch ep 1? it’s different because i already don’t mind fadel being older and bison being younger but i am curious about your perspective? i feel like it didn’t come across as jarring or anything! :)
My thoughts exactly. 😂 I've only ever seen people say he's beloved for his incredible acting, despite not being…
yup these are the kinds of comments i’ve seen too (questioning his appearance but never acting). i mean, he also does all of his own stunts/martial arts. like, he’s such a good and hard-working actor! but like you, i also don’t agree with people questioning his looks; he’s very handsome, really.
“particularly Cheng Yi, whose acting skills have been criticized by Chinese netizens, many of whom believe he…
anyway, the drama is good so far. it isn’t easy viewing though; definitely a lot of twists and turns, a lot of intricate plot points… you really have to pay attention! the only thing is that i wish it wasn’t dubbed!
“particularly Cheng Yi, whose acting skills have been criticized by Chinese netizens, many of whom believe he is valued solely for his looks”
LOL… what? is this actually a common sentiment? because his acting is obviously good and has been for many years now. hell, obviously so considering this was filmed 5 years ago. i thought he was regarded as a good actor? in fact, some Chinese comments i have seen have said he acts well even though his looks aren’t very special (which i don’t necessarily agree with either, for what it’s worth)
It give a bit of vintage feeling but i like it. But why his previous MV was taken down? Like i searched for Only…
yeah it was taken down very recently… i’m not sure if any actual reason has been given because i’ve seen a lot of speculation about why it may have been taken down but everyone says something different. it’s a shame; i guess the views might be lost now? and after khaotung won best ost too! it’s a shame~
Such a boring and reheated plot for a sageuk. A prince that hides his identity as a commoner, a cross-dressing…
honestly, both of these guilty pleasure tropes of mine LOL. and to be fair, at least for women disguising themselves as men, there are a decent amount of real historical examples. it also makes more sense for this trope to be used in the historical setting where there were more societal restrictions on what was and was not acceptable.
a case that comes to mind is “James Barry”, a surgeon in the 1800s (although it is unknown whether presenting as male was purely for educational/occupational reasons; it seems like it was only publicly discovered that Barry was a biological female after death).
that being said… usually it isn’t done very well in film, especially when romance is part of the picture (because let’s be real; the production usually doesn’t actually want the woman to appear like a man, so instead we get something a bit… ridiculous 😅😓)
I just can't buy Joong as Khao's older brother, esp considering the actor not only IS younger, he LOOKS younger…
idk, do we know what the character age difference is? but honestly, i feel like often people who are younger can look older than those who are actually older than them so it doesn’t bother me haha^^
What's your obsession coming to Yoo Ah In page once in while to leave hate comments?
The crime he is guilty of it not even similar to this though… So I respectfully disagree with that.
Also if someone goes to the police and reports sexual assault, the police are legally supposed to investigate it. You don’t need proof; you just need to make a report. An investigation is to determine whether the crime took place and, if it did, to gather evidence. Remember that there are people who have been CONVICTED of crimes that they didn’t commit; people who have spent years, decades even, incarcerated because of incorrect guilty verdicts. An investigation doesn’t mean anything.
I think it’s worth remembering that YAI has been accused because even based on the accusation, some people may not want to support him. Which is fine. But it’s not really fine to proclaim or really even suggest guilt where none has been proven. Again, I guess that’s just how I feel anyway… Because it is true that false accusations have been made before (not just for sexual crimes/violence but basically any and every type of crime).

I’m suggesting neutrality (that we don’t know who is the victim and who is the perpetrator—which is literally the case) and you called it biased? It’s too funny to call others biased when that’s what you’re being, you know that, right? If a friend were to accuse someone, for example, you would likely believe your friend even without evidence because the context there is that you trust those you keep in your life so you take their word as evidence. Between two strangers, why should I trust one more than the other? You’re deciding to trust one stranger over the other BECAUSE one is famous. That is your bias.
Also re potential addiction… Not really sure why you’ve brought that up but, for what it’s worth, there are a lot of reasons behind addiction (as usually addiction is the symptom of a larger issue) and it wreaks so much havoc on addicts and those around them. Speaking shit on addicts/addiction is just a bit disgusting, really.

unfortunately if there’s no proof either way, i don’t really think it’s right to immediately assume guilt. no matter the gender of the accused/accuser. you can’t say “yoo ah in is free because there is no evidence”; if there is no evidence, how are you sure he is guilty? with cases like this, it’s better to remain neutral. either the accuser is a victim and the accused is a perpetrator, if the accuser is telling the truth, or the accused is the victim if the accuser is lying. how can you know for sure?
