I wonder how she managed the plane flight. Actually I really wonder how all of the passengers and crew managed…
She seems like she is written to take a bullet or a knife for Zhuo Ran. i just hope if/when it happens ZR has been won over by her "charms", or at least pretends that he loves her too. It is a shame because she seemed pretty lively up until she met him. Now she just comes across as miserable.
We are totally watching different dramas. Most people see what is on the inside with JJ and yet still choose to…
I guess, sorta maybe. I tend to view redemption in dramas as something more active and involved than simple closure. Even though I disagree with the way JJ's character is written, having a heartfelt conversation with GY is a step towards redemption. So is telling HJ about his father. And jumping out to protect IH and whatever happens after that is a way of seeing him possibly care about someone more than his own life. I would rather have seen him disengage from their lives and go away for lack of a better term. No wistful goodbyes, tearful regrets, or the gang gathering to see him ride off into the sunset with a "year later" return as a changed man. For me, the drama let his character remain toxic for too long, burning too many bridges, and only showing some real positive growth in the eleventh hour (out of nowhere). If the show were 20 episodes, I imagine he would still be doing JJ things until episode 18. That is why even without seeing or know what the last two episodes hold, I just do not like the possibility of a redemption that seems forced in the last few episodes.
for such a big hospital, reliance on a resident doctor seems to be too great. I agree the episode was ridiculous.
I can suspend belief as much as the next person. Now I do not even hesitate to wonder how an impossibly handsome and talented ML who looks barely old enough to shave can be CEO of a multi-million dollar conglomerate. Or how the "plain" or "ugly" FL is often the prettiest one in the room. It is just drama and how it is. That scene just overloaded by capacity to accept the unacceptable. How much lung-er will viewers accept that kind of nonsense?
The most recent two (21-22). He had a conversation with the Brigade Commander (who was pushing the ML to confess) and the ML explained why he was taking his time and mentioned the deployment as one of his worries. The FL is tough and followed him into danger several times, but he knows that the SML and their breakup still bothers her to some extent. I even think a little bit of the ML is thinking about his friend's wife and kid who were left alone too.
I find the writing of this drama rather frustrating. It feels like the characters are sort of just there to abruptly…
It does seem like one of those 24 episode fluffy Chinese dramas with 16 added episodes for a military/medical/police drama. I do not know if you have seen You Are My Hero, but it was like that too, and struggled to integrate everything together. It was still good though.
I get the feeling it is because he cares about her so much and knows he wants to have a lasting relationship with her. He is getting deployed so he does not want to start something and have to leave. I know it is not exactly the same, but her previous relationship ended when the guy just left and never came back (at least for eight years).
Is it me that I am not able feel the chemistry between the leads at all? I feel the FL has not shown enough concern…
It is you. I have always viewed chemistry on screen as a two way street. Two people can have chemistry, but if the person watching has no chemistry with them, why would they see it? It does not make you an ignorant or bad person. Sometimes things are just not meant to be. Something better will come along eventually, just do not grow tired of waiting and watching.
I'm sad a lot of ppl only see whats on the surface with JJ. He is insecure. He is being made out to be the bad…
We are totally watching different dramas. Most people see what is on the inside with JJ and yet still choose to be around him. It is JJ who made HJ and IH out to be bad guys, yet they still stuck around. HJ always seems to welcome him and IH put up with his abuse for six years before getting brave enough to take a stand for herself (albeit her stand got her ran over by JJ and a truck). I feel bad that no one forced him to get the psychological help nor punished him for all the wrongdoings he committed. I do not understand trying to ruin someone's career (JH), purposely holding back another person's career (IH), hitting anyone, let alone a woman (IH), stalking and harassing someone (IH), making others uncomfortable trying to pit them against each other (did this to almost everyone), just to name a few "reactions" that I can recall. I do agree that he needs closure, but definitely not redemption. Let him admit his mistakes, and get treatment in America (that is where characters always seem to go), and move on from the "trio" and remember the time as a lovely dream in the beginning, and not the nightmare he turned it into. No forced redemption.

She had her loud moments in21 and 22, but overall she is doing much better. This is the cousin that should have showed up at the beginning and then gotten even better.
I think it is toxic love (on both seconds). Infatuated, unrequited, and obsessed. I do wonder how far the writers…
That is part of the reason why I get confused with the cousin. Does she have serious problems or just problems that she makes serious. She came in hot with guns blazing with no realistic explanation or backstory. Part of it had to be the absent father, but I also thought she was there to have a medical emergency so the mains could grow closer. Now, she seems like a romantic interest for the Lieutenant and she acts "better." Her conversation with him and the mains' conversation about the cousin seem to indicate that a sexual assault is another reason why she has problems. Maybe it will get sorted out in the next few episodes.
why would you ever think that replacing your meds without your knowledge would be ok? lets say for arguments sake…
I do think that the leads' bickering was very intense to begin with, and Mi Gu is still intensely (insert whatever word that would define her actions), and the cousin had intense bouts of loud and unexplained. I can easily see why some viewers might get turned off by those things. Being intense is not always a good thing. I think the main leads have softened and are enjoyable to watch. Mi Gu will probably still be doing Mi Gu things even as she probably takes a knife or bullet for Zhuo Ran (just how I see it going), and the cousin's symptoms seemed more mild the last few episodes. I have no real clue what is going on with the main plot, and I do not feel really invested in it. At the same time, I do not want to see the show become ALL about the romances.
An action or super hero film seems like a good place for a foreign actor to start in Hollywood. More attention is paid to your looks and presence rather than trying to capture the audience with powerful dialogue.
