You can try skipping the bullying scenes. They're quite tiring and you don't lose much on the plot.

Gonna admit I selfishly prefer his hellfire mode. It's what drew me to the character and the plot in the first place. Long have I waited for a peerless ML in xianxia and it will be such a waste to give up on this. Like I don't care if the story doesn't make sense anymore, I only want him to keep the girl and the powers.

I only read the last few chapters of the novel and it's completely different from the show. It's closer to the dong hua in that their souls both share DFQC's body instead of the body swap, and they had to find a body for XLH. The ending makes them go back to sharing a body. The drama is it's own story.

Re: that kiss scene in ep 13, it starts off as a typical mouth to mouth smooch but after they transform back mid-kiss DFQC hand is cupping the back of her head for more. LMAO he is so hopelessly in love with her.

I know this show has the word Devil in it but I don't think they are your typical devils/demons in xianxia? Of course the Shuiyuntian seems to regard them like one but in most of the times they are explicitly referred to as Moon Tribe.

Yessss! It's so iconic! I never realised this but I'm so tired of strong characters in xianxia handling enemies effortlessly. I wanna see hardcore badassery!
