His actions were wrong and he was too late to realize his feelings, even if later he was to be engaged to shaoshang…
The fact that he's a flawed character and sacrificed his only possible shot at a happy marriage is quite admirable and compelling. I prefer LBY for CSS but I also want to appreciate YS role in making this show interesting.
I have that kind of a perspective too when it comes to marriage so I get where YS comes from(my parents had bad…
Mine is a slightly different perspective because I'm choosing to be childfree in a world I'm not optimistic for. I even said the same thing "one less unhappy child". Hopefully that bad habit of his will be corrected. I am excited for YS character growth.
Same here. And I liked how he was honest with his mother about his feelings. So unexpected. I thought he would…
I think that moment of honesty touched my heart bc he's clearly delusional the rest of the time. It's like when the clown takes off his clown makeup and you see him for who he is. Just an ordinary guy who wants happiness.
YS is starting to grow on me after the speech about not getting married. His parents' rocky marriage made him default to cynical f*cked up ways to get attention from his crush. He yearns for love but doesn't know what it is. In a way he's like CSS but with less social support. LBY has a lot of darkness but strongly believes in true love and the institution of marriage, while YS does not even entertain the idea for himself. He's too scared to risk hurting his heart and it's a very relatable feeling as a viewer.
Looking at the trailers for ep 45 and 46, looks like CSS former bullies will be affected through marriage. Yu Chang made the right choice to join the monastery.
The more I look at 3rd Prince the more I like him. He has his mother's wits and airs, and his father's good nature and sense of humor. The character is interesting enough for me to want him as a ML in a sequel or spinoff.
Hopefully that bad habit of his will be corrected. I am excited for YS character growth.
