Lol my friend had the same issue. Can’t forget her image of being a zombie from korean odyssey loool. I didn’t find her character annoying but she’s playing a teenager in the first few episodes, she gets more mature as the story goes on

Only deok im calls Yi San naeuri in the drama, when she thought he was the crown prince’s lecturer. deok ro did not address him as such.

I think deok ro also uses jeoha/jeonha though… the show doesn’t really use other ways to address a crown prince/king. I once heard deokro refer to Yi San as geudae (그대), but that was just in one scene iirc - the one where Yi San is embracing Deok Im after she ran to him, and deok ro urges Yi San to return to the palace

Came here from one and only. For some reason Ren jialun looks really cute and boyish here hahahaha. In fact I watched a bit of this drama before one and only and didn’t even realise the male leads were played by the same person

Watched some clips on YouTube and cried, it’s impactful and I keep thinking about it. This deserves a 9.5 HAHA. Gosh the show keeps growing on me, I think this might be the first ever cdrama I will rewatch.

Listening to the show’s ost makes me sad. Shiyi was living THE life after her engagement was cancelled. Free to do whatever she wanted, and she was contented with a life of single hood if she could just stay by zhousheng Chen’s side. Except that’s not the only plus point at zhousheng chen’s place of course (she was free to do whatever she wanted, could travel, learn martial arts, spend time with her shijie and shixiong and also be with the guy she likes FOR LIFE!!)

Shiyi is so pitiful not just because she couldn’t be with the man she loved. With that marriage to the liu prince, she lost everything - her freedom, her time with her family, and even her enthusiasm for life. So so sad.

FL’s mom is insufferable. She’s not just strict, she’s straight up a bitch. Pls don’t come at me and say this is Asian parenting, it’s just bad parenting

Yeah I know, but before he became the crown prince, they never really argued or bicker much. but because of his act, they actually turned into a couple that bickered a lot. In one other ep where the emperor had a stroke, the crown prince told the emperor that while the emperor was busy trying to consolidate power, he lost what was was most important to him. And I think that is exactly what happened to the crown prince as well. I still have two more eps left so I can’t be too sure
