yes that scene was necessary to create tension between the leads before the body switch. thankfully sheng sheng is a very decent person and female lead in the rest of the drama

yes. it took them more than 12h to release the sub LOL. usually kdramas are release with subs already

i think they did this to drive two messages, 1. we need to have more empathy, and 2. things don't always work out in real life. but honestly, i think they were already communicating the messages well enough throughout the story. all it did for me was infuriate me though

you are definitely right in saying that i can't empathize with the female lead. and its also kind of funny because i usually should relate more to the sheng sheng compared to jiang yi, considering she's a regular person with a normal job while he is a superstar whose lifestyle i know nothing about. i understand why she did it but i still don't think it was right

when i saw the ending i got flashbacks to grade 4 when my english teacher told me to never end a story essay with "it was just a dream/novel/tv show". now i really understand why

i liked the message of the show too about sympathy and how things aren't so easy in real life. i know they were trying to drive the message through with the whole novel ending but i didn't think it was necessary, since i think the show portrayed the message well enough. i think the novel ending is such a hit or miss.

also i did find it draggy when they got together. their interaction was sooo fun when they were just friends

its hard to say since everyone has different tastes. i started to become more interested in ep 2. i think it also got better when the swapped back to their own bodies.

i probably wont rewatch on viu considering i already paid them money haha
