at ep 4 and idk how this got a rating of 8.3... 10 points to xiao bao and -1.7 to everything else i guess? maybe im biased because i hate ceo stories. the plot is kind of childish and the situations don't quite make sense and the main couple interactions so far feel so forced. its cringy and cliche in the worst ways. even the FL's ex bf and his new gf are so poorly written and childish.
the FL is ok but sometimes her response to the ML's questionable actions is quite illogical. the ML is a CEO/businessman but that's not just his occupation, it's also his entire PERSONALITY. he uses business theories to analyse human relationships and literally calls his son "his most important client". *facepalm* i mean... i went to business school and they did teach us a thing or two about negotiation and forming meaningful network and connections but this guy just doesn't seem to have any form of EQ. Considering the chinese business world is literally built on guanxi idk how he's even a CEO but oh well what do i know i'm not a ceo after all.
the fact that jing jing only had 5 min of screen time in these 2 eps 😩😩😩 i cant believe she only appeared during a confession (and immediate rejection), in flashback compilations and on a livestream 😩😩😩 i need more jing jing
i saw this week's episode trailers and i feel like i already know half the plot HAHA. THE TRAILER IS LITERALLY ALL THE IMPORTANT PLOT POINTS, WHY DID I WATCH THAT?
watching this show just makes me feel the suffering of the people. koreans really suffered through the 1900s, starting with the japanese occupation, then WW2, and the korean war. and all that just to struggle for years under several dictatorships. things only started to get better in the 1990s in terms of civil rights.
my heart just aches seeing the military on a power trip in the show, knowing the same is probably happening Myanmar right now all while suffering the full brunt of COVID-19.
hi does this show have scenes where the team goes to other cities for competitions and stay at a hotel (the leads don't have to be sleeping together)? asking for a friend... i know its a weird and highly specific qns
