The mum is all about name and reputation. Rather than wealth, she values aristocracy and old money. For example Sa Ang, the girl she wanted chat to marry, is from a noble family. Anong is from a new money family who got rich through business. She sees anong as uncouth and criticises her behaviour. Mum has very traditionalist mindset, anong is just too open minded. Haha they are married so im pretty sure they do. It’s just not shown which personally I don’t mind. It keeps things pretty taste full and kinda period appropriate ? In one of the scenes, anong and wichai were comforting each other because anong got her period. Choy said that wichai was sad because he wanted a child. Although it’s not a confirmation since Choy has a history of assuming things on her own, I’m pretty sure they have a normal, all encompassing marriage life.
I agree with the family issues thing. Mother in law is too annoying and now there’s some bribery drama. Next ep at least probably is gonna filled with that. Kinda just wish they moved to some other province together. They’ve gone to the beach so maybe they can move into the mountains next
Omg the mother in law is really just not it. It’s quite refreshing that anong doesn’t take shit from her. Even Choy is serving her mum with cold hard facts in ep 17.

chut is honestly overall such an unlikeable person. he's unlikeable as a brother, son, friend, and now husband. he has absolutely no redeeming quality. previously it was his stable job in the army but now he's left that and invested in a doomed business. im glad they dont give him that much screen time anymore, i dont think his character is worthy to be a second male lead

now that im rewatching i realised how fking useless the emperor is. hes so useless to the point i question why zhousheng chen even bothers to save him over and over again. like ya he values family relationship but at this point the emperor's weak ass is the cause of the empire's downfall lolol. i woulda just revolted.
I remember feeling iffy about their relationship after their first kiss. I thought that wichai was going to remain uncertain and that was going to cause anong to doubt herself and his feelings for her. I’m just soooo glad it didn’t go down this way. Once wichai took the big leap, he never took a step back. He reassured anong about his feelings through his words and actions in every way.
After ep 15 I’m truly convinced that they make such a great couple. they aren’t always perfect but always reflect and communicate. Ep 15’s theme was that sometimes men like to make decisions for women - even if they had good intentions, it’s disrespectful. Wichai did try to make certain decisions for anong but eventually they talked and came to a mutual decision. I just loveee that. It’s really a lakorn that doesn’t perpetuate toxic tropes. Their relationship is so healthy and fulfilling and they make each other better people.

They are definitely going to have a happy ending. Their love is very secure. In the upcoming eps they may face some resistance from their families but I’m pretty sure they will get married and live happily
i still feel that they fumbled this one so hard. the novel was such perfect drama material. honestly idk why they decided to add the emperor plot and made the lead's identity more powerful, instead of investing time and effort into each of their lifetimes to make the romance more believable.
