between this and See You In My 19th Life my stress filled weekends has finally found some joy
I foresee see you in my 19th life being quite sad to watch hahaha the leads have a lot of emotional baggage. I’m hoping king the land remains light with no melodramatic twist in the middle. But it seems like the ML has quite a bit of baggage here too

Hahaha nahh it was part of in flight entertainment and I only watched the first few eps, but it’s still enough to bring back memories!

I’m watching this movie, currently over an hour in, and I don’t understand why this has such a high rating…
its because its about a very painful history. things like this are still happening in some countries too so i would assume many find it relatable or touching. honestly i think the plot was just ok too

I don't get why they don't make more serious historical dramas like this one especially considering how popular…
exactly!!! i thought after the explosive popularity of this drama they would make more serious historicals like these, considering this is also the most successful historical drama in the past few years. kinda sad that there are no recent historical dramas with this tone

Title The Glory Part 2 Spoiler
I liked the revenge but I didn’t like the romance. Felt like it broke the flow and made the story slow so I even skipped some romance scenes. I wish they showed Yeo jung getting his revenge

If you finish watching it you would have seen why she slept with them
Honestly that reason is worst than her just liking sleeping w men for fun

Shitty translations
Agree, the Netflix translations are so bad. I don’t mind when translators paraphrase but sometimes it felt like they were changing the meaning and dialogue too liberally

"Not Like Other Girl" has become an outdated concept. Sismance is in the trend now. It's sad to see writer's choosing…
Honestly I’m fine with how she is, she has lots of interests and is good at many things that aren’t usually conventionally associated with being “feminine”, but she never really says or believes that she’s “not like other girls”. However I hated how the show portrayed how other people, especially men, perceived her as “not like other girls”.

For most parts it’s ok if I just turn off my brain LOL. I didnt really like the last episode tho. The FL has the “not like other girls” vibe. Im ok w how she carries herself but I hate it when the ML says he likes her because “she’s not like other women”. ML was a bit icky in the first few episodes too. Tbh the first few eps were a bit hard to get into but it gets quite entertaining after a while. It’s just ok but romcom kdramas are ironically hard to come by these days so the romcom buff in me gladly gobbled it up

Whenever it gets romantic or steamy the male lead always says some fked up shit like “u are not like other girls, all women I know are bad” like bro just stfu for 5 more secs like things were getting hot n now u ruined the mood
