I can't understand why he continues to betray Nan Yan after she agreed to help him save his people. He's foolishly endangering everyone. Initially, I thought, "Oh, he just wants to save his people," but then he betrayed (again 😩) his only "friends" for a cause they already promised to support? What is seriously wrong with him?
The story is getting more and more exiting ^_^That fox gets on my last nerve...
Me too. I began to trust him, but it's already over. His disloyalty is too much, so I'll resent him until the end. He doesn't deserve Nan Yan's friendship.
Oh my, episode 9 is lagging on my site (kisskh), while episode 10 plays without any issues. Could someone suggest another streaming site for future reference in case this problem persists?

The novel is very interesting so i'm reading it too.. I'm very curious to see how the lead actors interpret their characters compared to how I envisioned them in the novel.
Currently desperate for a good chinese drama. Usually dont like xianxia dramas but Is it worth it? leads are really…
If you're looking for a smart, cute, smart and strong leads, you are in the right place. + no 2ML During the first 4 ep, the athmosphere is full of comedy and we discover this universe throughout that. After the story start to begin progressively, the chemistry between the leads intensifies and the plot takes a more serious turn. The leads make a stunning duo. I appreciate the effects used for the characters' powers and the decor; they are very harmonious. You should give a try !!!
It's important to remember that not all characters you dislike are hated by everyone, just as not all characters…
Okay but can't he share his opinion concerning this character ??? Disliking a character isn't necessarily negative, and as the show progresses, there may be opportunities to start appreaciting them. It's only the start of the show the characters will undergo personal development and we may start to love him. I understand you're a fan of Darren Chen, but disliking one of his characters isn't bad, a skilled actor can evoke feelings of both love and hate, so it's not an insult to his acting abilities.
I have a question. Did they really adapt the novel or did they just take the character names and world building?
The adaptation of the novel is quite accurate, although there were changes concerning the protagonists' first meeting. According to Douban viewers, the show has done a very good job adapting the novel. From what I've read at the beginning of the novel: They meet before the exam to enter the sect as sword-siblings. Nan Yan is intelligent and skilled but is bullied due to her physique (she very very fat whereas her mother is a beautiful and attractive woman). Ji Yang is compelled to protect her because of a spell cast by Nan Yan's mother, similar to the show. In the novel, the characters are children: Nan Yan is 8 years old, Ji Yang is 14, and Mu Zhan Ting is 15, whereas in the show, they are young adults, with Nan Yan who is already a member of the sect but then followed by Mu Zhan Ting. In the novel, Ji Yang isn't in his real body because he switched bodies after being wronged, while in the show, he survived without changing bodies. I don't know about the rest, but according to Douban viewers, the show has adapted the novel very well.
