The promotion of this drama was chaotic, and it was released at midnight in China during the Olympic period... The beginning of the drama is full of comedy.. I wasn't hype at first but then it become more interesting. Most of people just dropped at ep 1 or 2 whereas those ep doesn't represent the vibe of the drama at all. According to the trailers, the story will continue to move away from comedy to a more serious athmosphere.
Honestly, Jing Tian's acting surprised me; knowing her ability to portray badass, cold, or refined characters, I was curious to see her interpretation of Nan Yan. I've read parts of the novel and she interpreted her perfectly, as always she never disappoints.
