That's the thing, immortals have powers to interfere with a mortal's 'fate' That's why they aren't supposed to mingle and stay with mortals. They would get invested with individuals and lose sight of the 'bigger picture'. And that's supposedly their job.

I don't understand the hate for XM's cousin. I think she represents most people, regular people. Who wants to get married to a a far off country and be married to an infamous warlord, who have a justifiable grudge against her entire bloodline. Especially when she has found a wonderful person to love and also loves her back. Her statement when she said she's not strong and could only protect this one person was sort of memorable line for me. I think I don't particularly like her because I sort of understand her and I would most probably be like her. I would and could only prioritize this small group of people.
Now I really our MC, they are great people, the ideal people.
PS. I am still not over this drama and cannot watch other dramas yet. (I did finish youthful glory, but just to finish it)
And it's LYN so there's a high chance he might. Lol. Also read a comment that he might get sacrificed. (?) And the way they're portraying his char, it's possible.
