I think they're both smart, however she's more crafty and the better with words. QX is aware that she would have to do a lot of bending before she can gain his trust. As she said,she has to be the water to his stone.

I also think that part of that hostility is his conflicting feelings for her, he was told never to trust a Qiao, it's almost like a gut reaction for him. but he cannot help but respect her and in the end fall for her. He also really seems inexperienced with romance. I'm surprised it was even mentioned (at this time, in the previews) that he hasn't had a concubine and must still be a virgin. But ML asks and fortunately the right people and listens. And he also communicate with her. Even though they're already married they're still learning about each other.
i love WY's character. He loved and was loved by family. He knows it well. However, they're not an ordinary family and they would need to supress him. He obviously was thought the same things as ML, so he should be capable as well. but he wouldn't dare do or be anything because it might harm his family politically. I think him going to his father would be a good thing and he would have room to grow. He 's aware what his father is and would not entirely trust him. Him being in Bianzhou would most probably help WY with the canal building. I hope he would have his own version of QX. At least he cannot easily be manipulated as he can easily see through SEH.

I didnt watch LLTG while it was airing, so i got to binge when i got convinced (i saw a clip of the druNK XS clinging to LBY's back) also rewatched it several times TPOB, i just knew i wouldnt be able to resist while it's aired. Im already rewatching it in netflix. 😅
