City Lord Hong retreating would almost be him surrendering. He rather at that point die on the battlefield than…
that reasoning did cross my mind. but he was their respected leader and losing him could bring down the morale of the people. i thought he would have helped and protected his people by actually staying alive and assisting them with the defense. but then again storywise, i understand that he had to die so his son would have his 'baptism by fire' and become a better leader. also, it would be easier for ML to lead the war.
ep 25. i am bit confused and annoyed abt that last stand. or may be i just do not understand warfare. why couldnt the city head go back inside the city too? they were obviously outnumbered, can't they retreat and defend? just had to comment here because iqiyi app doesnt have those 'flying' comments and i can't rant there.
i was scrolling through the comments and spoiling myself (because i read it was SE and i should at least ready myself) but i just realized that this is another Ren costume drama that i liked (so far) and didnt drop (yet) that he dies at the end.
had to stop myself from crying for cui and ms dong's good bye
e. return to normal? what normal?
also confused abt aunt yan, did she really side with crazt soon to be MIL? lol
