Where can I watch this drama in HD?
You can get most in HD back in the days at these LJ communities. And the subs quality are impeccable aside from the HD 1080p videos. Like the songs were even in karaoke version when it was played in the drama. But now you are right, most old dramas are not even HD.

Maybe watch it on small screen to mask the terrible quality lol. I wanted to give you download link for this drama in HD but I cant no longer access to the place as well. But I had mine in my harddisk so I can rewatch it anytime I want.

Sorry, I downloaded mine long ago from LiveJournal communities -- there is where we used to get our HD dramas. But these communities are long dead I'm afraid.

I think you can try Dramacool or KissAsian. I watched this long ago since I used to download my dramas. I just leave this review recently when I updated my DramaList.

This drama now aired on one of national channel in my country. I remember i used to watch this in my childhood.…
Even from the poster she looks like a female. Its actually interesting that a lot of people were shocked to know she is a female years later. I wonder why they make such a casting decision.

Is it trash ending because they give the villain the redemption arc?
Ahh I see. I thought the villains got a redemption arcs like they always did in this type of dramas. I'm tired of Kdramas pretentious endings tbh. Seeing your reasons why it is such a trash ending, I wonder why they even bother to make a story when they always always ruin the ending at the end.

This year was the most disappointing year of Korean movies for me.
Me too. Esp Emergency Declaration which was an all-stars casts. I was rolling my eyes so much during the movie. It surprise me that I didnt walk out from the cinema.

Sadly I don't really like watching old men. But I do love train to Busan
But these old men usually give you the best performances. Like Hwang Jungmin for an example. Great great actor!

For me, the only one to watch is "The Host" (and perhaps "Be with You" but the Japanese one is a bit better
The Japanese ones is way way better. I'm a fan of both actors of the Korean version but it didnt make me cry as much as the Japanese version did. I ugly cried -- like there is no tomorrow haha

You need to watch One & Only first. Then, I assure you Forever & Ever will worked wonders and do their magic. Both show ruined romance drama for me. Everything else just paled in comparison after that.

Have you tried Forever & Ever? Its literally a marriage drama without much drama and angst.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this article! Which drama or movie do you think did the most realistic representation…
Cdrama Forever & Ever. Basically ruined romance drama for me. The drama is literally no angst but show how marriage should be -- complete and utterly understanding of each other.

The polls' results gathered more towards new dramas but I'm glad Nirvana in Fire, Joy of Life, Reply 1988 & My Mister made it to the list none the less. It shows that quality show will be remembered no mater how much times has passed.

The ML is not a coward at all. He is more like an idealist where he doesnt want anyone to sacrifice or die for…
That is because he cant fight at all during that time if my memory served me right. He only learned to fight at the waterfall.

Plus, it is the job of his soldiers to fight the bad guys. As you can see in other historical dramas, the general will only give instructions while the soldiers will fight the battle in war. Its the same here. Those soldiers are send to protect him thus they are just doing their job in protecting him.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
''They were both still clearly in love with each other and she knew full well that as a merman he was never going…
But all XianXia dramas are like this. 95% suffering and 5 minutes of happiness. I think I have never come across a complete satisfying ending for this genre.

I personally think this one is pretty ok since they really have great relationship in the beginning. And even during the hard times, she was smiling to him all the way through. But it truly sucks how the confinement episodes lasted for like 8 episodes? But beggars can't be chooser haha

Ohh when I meant development, development them as a couple which happened after Yunhe 'dies'. Both of them are flawed individuals with their own ego. But during her last breath, Yunhe knew how selfish she is for making at decision and left Changyi in the dark right until the end -- that is why she had that talk with him in her mind -- but it was too late at that time. Changyi as well, knew well her heart but his ego wants to let her she said it with her own mouth which she refused so he went ahead and being cold to her during those months he confined her.

But after she comes back, the first thing you see is how Changyi do not want Yunhe memories to come back and remember him since she looks so happy without those sad memories. Thats the purest kind of love where he basically just happy for her to be alive and happy despite it is killing him inside not to spent his lifetime with her. Then when she remembers back, the first thing she did is apologize to him knowing how selfish she is and how that decision ended up making Changyi suffers more. Changyi as well was really sorry for confining her and let her roam the world free even if it meant without him (as he will be waiting for her at North Abyss). After that, you can see how they already in sync and always discuss things together before taking major decisions. During that time, even death wouldnt tear them apart since the understanding they had with each other. But yeah you are right, it was like only 7 episodes before the end and I wanted more as well haha

Before Yunhe jumped into the lava mountain, she had that long talk with Changyi and Changyi understood and agrees with her decision. He wants to be the one who jumped but Yunhe said, it is only him who has the power to seal the mountain so he cannot be the one who jumped. But she promised to come back that is why Changyi is also at ease after that. That is why he gave her his pearl for a second time since like Immortal Master said, those pearl will keep her alive (aside from the lamp). Plus, he truly believe she will come back to him. They discuss that decision together which I appreciate. :)

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
Finished Part 2 and I must say that while it's a good drama, it does suffer from the same flaw as Part 1 and that…
''They were both still clearly in love with each other and she knew full well that as a merman he was never going to love another and no matter how she acted, he would still be broken when she died, so why not spend the remainder of their days together as happily as they could? ''

Yeah, she regrets it a lot during her last breath that is why when she comes back, she apologize to him and knows how wrong it is to do that to him. I was also mad at her when she insisted to keep him in the dark right until the end, but this drama actually address how wrong is that behavior (instead of passing it as acceptable like other noble idiocy out there) and because of that, I love it. :D
