Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
Yeah. I got fed up of reading comments like that so just ignored them cos probably everyone watch the drama with…
I think most people just look at the surface without really understanding the drama. Its not really about taste but how love works. How 2 people in love, still has flaws and ego. But it was addressed later how wrong they are and after their reunion -- literally nothing could break them apart -- not even death. Thats the whole point of the story -- the developments that the leads go through together -- individually or as a couple.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
Done with Part 2, and I have to say that I prefer Part 1. True that S2 was full of action but the relationship…
The whole angsty part is vital for the plot since it shows that these 2 people, despite being in love has flaws and ego on their own. TBH, I was pissed as well since Yunhe kept Changyi in the dark right until the end. Or Changyi, despite knowing the truth, just need to hear it from Yunhe despite she refused to tell him. But later, all those problem was addressed one by one after their reunion which amazed me. They learned from their previous mistakes and do not repeat it anymore. The development that they made were tremendous and that is why they are complete at ease and in sync with each other after that.

But I totally get you. I agreed on more affectionate scenes. I'm glad they still put it there despite when the are in fight with each other lol.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
Part 2 just isn’t my cup of tea. There’s just too much going on and not enough development to satisfy me.…
I think you missed the 2nd part of the bound comment. She said it right after that. She likes to be bound as in having a 'home' she can return to. Before this, she thought being free is just travelling from one place to another (since Flower Valley is not her home) but later she realized that is not the right term of being 'free'. Now with Changyi, she has home she can return too after travelling.

Ohh I like the developments in the 2nd part so much that I cant believe the writer address all the problematic things that are being normalized in XianXia dramas in general. First the noble idiocy that is so rampart -- it is being address how wrong is that to make that decision for someone else. And the fact that Changyi confined Yunhe -- this is also being address and Changyi realized how wrong he is to do that. And the last one would be how they stopped making decision individually but rather discuss it together. I'm really impressed tbh.

Yes his character from Promise of Chang'An is probably the most tragic ML in history. Everytime people asked is it worth to watch this drama I was like 'NOOOOOO, the drama truly has no redeeming quality AT AL.....'

Title Joy of Life Spoiler
she's one of the harem in novel
I think because they try to follow the novel as in the novel, the Little Emperor is a woman as well. She and Si Lili are a couple and due to CCP censorship, I dont think that will fly at all lol. Probably that one will be removed as well.

she's one of the harem in novel
The writer changed a lot of the plots to make the story better imo. For an example, Teng Sizeng didnt play an important role in the novel but in the drama, he is the reason behind Fan Xian's revenge and 'loss of innocent'. They also made Fan Xian in the drama like 100% more likable than in novel. That is why I personally think the writer will remove the harem plotline from the novel since it didnt resonate well with today's viewers.

The first thing he did is removing Fan Xian's Maid Servant from the novel. DuoDuo and him also only friends like in the novel. And the whole plot regarding LiLi and the Little Emperor will most definitely removed due to censorship. That is why Wan'er will be the only love of his life in the drama version. I'm pretty positive about this and hopefully it will be this way haha

Nothing happen during those scene though. He just wake up to find her waiting beside him. DouDou also mentioned that the brief talk Fan Xian had with LiLi that morning might be something that she treasured her whole life.

Dont worry, I personally think they will remove the harem part of the novel since it didnt contribute to the plot.

Can anyone tell me how much % of the live action version follows the novel I know that the harem genre tag is…
They still follow the same plots but they changed a lot of things to make the story better. For an example, Teng Sizeng didnt play an important role in the novel but in the drama, he is the reason behind Fan Xian's revenge and 'loss of innocent'. They also made Fan Xian in the drama like 100% more likable than the novel. For an example, Fan Xian actually torture Si Lili in the novel but in the drama, he just played a mind games with her despite being super intimidating and merciless at the same time.

I personally think the harem will be removed completely from the drama. First, it being pointed out again & again in the drama that Wan'er is the love of his life and he didnt show any ounce of interest with the other girls in the drama (3 have made an appearances for far). Plus, they also remove his love interest in the novel and the later harem in the novel could also be removed (probably due to censorship) without affecting the storylines.

Title Joy of Life Spoiler
How can someone be this lucky? This is a good series with very good writing. There is no plot hole(i only reached…
Because luck is one of the reason for someone to survive when they are in the eye of storm like Fan Xian. Most of the savings he got made complete sense due to the plot twist later regarding his identity (they need him to be alive and has been doing that since he is a baby thats is why he grew up in Danzhou) but luck is also part of the reason for his survival.

All the Emperors in history need to have all sort of luck as well in order to survive and become an Emperor and govern successfully. Luck in finding good advisors, friends or comrades and as well luck in surviving assassination attempts or etc. This drama shows how power, position, back support, family as well as 'luck' play an important role in Fan Xian's survival aside from his genius mind.

Joy is life very intriguing. Story can't be predicted. Only thing i didn't understand was why everyone in the…
They do not hate him but rather his aggressive behaviors was tolerated at first because of his loyalty to BeiQi. But Fan Xian shows them why he is replaceable and they started to see it too esp the Dowager Queen (pay attention to the conversation between Fan Xian & DuoDuo after ShengSheng Hu made an alliance with the Dowager Queen -- they explored it in detail there). The awesome thing about Fan Xian is that he knew his schemes were very apparent but he didnt care since he knew they will do it according to his narrative anyway. Why? Because he understand people's greed for money & power. Like the BS excuse he made regarding falling in love with DuoDuo at first sight as an excuse to smuggle with BeiQi -- and seriously, NO ONE, literally NO ONE in that room believe that ridiculous excuse except the Dowager Queen. She accepted the excuse since it allowed her to get profit through smuggling deal with Fan Xian.

This is one of the dramas where the plot armours made complete sense. I also usually cant stand plot armors in dramas but for Fan Xian, it made complete sense when you consider the plot twist later regarding his identity or the scheming they planned on his life.

Noticed that not one but many characters in the drama question why he got saved everytime for his reckless behaviors. This is not coincidence but rather as foreshadowing for his identity and why he is so important in everyone's eyes. Even Fan Xian himself was surprised and question the same thing.

Its not because its a much older production but because Joy of Life is a lot more fun and funnier but maintain the same smart script and brilliant scheming and mind games.

Yesh, thats what my problem is with what otherwise an excellent story. As a viewers, you got frustrated with his choices but he on the other hand was painted as a hero throughout the story. If they actually stick the source materials, I might actually will give a higher rating for the drama.

Like I like what they did with The Bad Kids. Despite the censorship they managed to create a masterpiece. I like how on the surface its a 'happy ending' but when you analyze the everything, the ending was the total opposite.

Regarding The Long Night, while watching the drama, do you realized that the obsession of the ML on the case is the very reason why he ended up that way? Because when I watch the drama, my problem is how they whiten the ML character like a hero while in the novel, his obsession was highlighted which is one of the main points of the story.
