Exactly! I love it so much. With dubbing, you can just tell, they're not always in sync. Sometimes I have to look away from their faces so that I don't ruin my own experience by noticing the inconsistencies in their mouth movements 😭
(Ooc) Toning down jp wasn't needed at all. It would made sense if he was toxic like lu feng but he wasn't.
Exactly! Jane Patrick in the novel was perfect the way he was, there was no need to tone down anything because everything about him was perfectly balanced. Lu Feng was irredeemably toxic in the novel, so the changes made to tone him down made sense. I mourn what could have been with this show if they had followed the novel :(
I LOVE how it's the actors speaking in their own voices, I hope all Chinese dramas start doing this. As much as I love C-Bls, the awful dubbing really ruins the experience.
They really removed so many toxic traits of Big Jane from the novel and turned him into a green flag, I'm sad. We got to see his toxic side only until episode 6.
The younger brothers are always such a pain in the ass, first Yi Chen's brother and now Little Jane's brother. The world would be so much better without those annoying little brothers.
