It was very difficult to watch Lu Xiao Fan get degraded and humiliated by literally everyone. My heart breaks for him and also it's infuriating to see him not standing up for himself. I was getting second hand embarrassment throughout. But both the leads are so handsome and have good chemistry. Add to it good cinematic visuals and background score. So it's good enough for me to not drop it. I just hope Lu Xiao Fan stops being the doormat.

By high production, I meant from China. As much as I've absolutely loved the other bls from China, I can tell they were made on a low budget, Double Helix seems to be the only one which doesn't look low budget.

And no, I'm not new to bls. I've watched several Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Thai bls, as well as Western queer media. I've also read several yaoi manga, manhwa, manhua, danmei, and other bl novels. I like to consume any bl from any country if it has an interesting story and good acting. I've only been actively using MDL for the last couple of months. It doesn't show everything I've actually watched because I don't remember all of it. I'm updating it whenever I remember anything.

And what does me liking bts have to do with any of this? I don't waste my time engaging in k-pop fanwars, so keep your negativity to twitter and don't bring it here I beg you.
